The New Orleans Bowl will take place on Saturday, as the Gamecocks of Jacksonville State Gamecocks take on the Ragin Cajuns of Louisiana. Jacksonville State had a fun season, but fell in their final game of the season to New Mexico State. It’s been a fun story, as they take on a Louisiana team that needed a win at the end of November to get eligible for a bowl game. We expect this to be a fun game. The Gamecocks are -3 in this game, and the total sits at 56.5.
Miami OH Redhawks vs. Appalachian State Mountaineers
The Redhawks out of the MAC had a great season with 11 wins, including a conference title over Toledo. Miami will seek their sixth straight as they battle in the Cure Bowl in Orlando. The Redhawks are a tremendous defensive team, but will have their hands full against a Mountaineers team that scored just shy of 35 points per game during the season. Appalachian State Mountaineers sit -5.5 in this game, with a total of 46.5.
New Mexico State Aggies vs. Fresno State Bulldogs
The New Mexico Bowl will feature a state team! Jerry Kill and his Aggies are coming off a Conference USA title game loss to Liberty back on December 1st. New Mexico State Aggies will look to get back on track as they take on Fresno State which also lost their final College football matchups of the season. The Bulldogs fell to San Diego State back at the end of November. The Bulldogs are 8-4 on the season. New Mexico State comes into the game at -3.5, and the total for the game is 51.5.
UCLA Bruins vs. Boise State Broncos
A pair of West Coast teams getting together in the LA Bowl. This game will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The Bruins, out of the Pac-12 went 7-5 on the season but fell in their season finale to California by 26 points. UCLA certainly lost a ton of talent from a season ago, but pieced it together to win 7 games. For Boise State Broncos, a mid-season coaching firing slowed them down, but it did not prevent them from getting to the Mountain West title game and blowing UNLV out by 24 points. The Broncos are hot, as they will look to win their fifth straight. The Broncos are +2 underdogs in this one, with a total at 49.5.
