Get ready for a wild ride! Here’s a quick recap of the latest F1 breaking news from the Italian Grand Prix’s most adrenaline-pumping moments.
Unstoppable!
The Red Bull team and Max Verstappen continue to dominate F1 news as the Flying Dutchman refuses to lose. And so it was, yet again, that Verstappen found the winner’s circle at the Italian Grand Prix for a record-setting 10th win in a row while his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Pérez, ran second. It was another 1-2 finish for Red Bull as they are already coasting to another constructors’ championship.

It was an ever-so-slight mistake by pole-sitting Carlos Sainz at the 15th lap that allowed Verstappen to overtake the Spaniard and never look back. When the dust settled, Verstappen finished the race a whopping 16 seconds in front of his teammate Sergio Perez, while Sainz would snatch the final podium spot for Ferrari just in front of teammate Charles Leclerc.

George Russell finished fifth after being issued a five-second time penalty for gaining an advantage off the track while fellow Mercedes driver and teammate Lewis Hamilton followed directly behind him and was also assessed a five-second infraction for clashing with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri.
Both drivers recently signed contract extensions with Mercedes and F1 news and rumors have it that Hamilton’s pact was for two years at $63 million per annum.
Although the race was delayed by 23 minutes as Yuki Tsunoda’s AlphaTauri could not make the grid and had to be picked up and towed off the track, it did not detract from the historical event that followed. Delayed or not, the day belonged to the Red Bull team yet again as they continued to crush their challengers and force the competition to settle for a spot in their rearview mirrors.

Drivers Are Talking
After the race, the drivers gave their thoughts on a race that was decided much earlier than all but the Red Bull fans would have liked. Nevertheless, this F1 season has become predictable, to say the least, even in Ferrari’s home territory of Monza.
- Max Verstappen – “I never would have believed this [10 wins in a row] was possible. Carlos had a lot of top speed and it was so hard to get a move so I had to force a mistake which I got on turn one when he locked up. I could see they were struggling with their rear tires so I just had to pick my moment. I had a few issues towards the end but we got there.”
- Carlos Sainz – “It was very tough out there, it cannot get any tougher, and I ended up paying the price with my rear tires.” As for the contest with Leclerc: “He’s a great racer. We had fun out there today and I hope you guys enjoyed it. We need to be focusing on our pace and our tires as we were just lacking a bit of pace but we want to be best of the rest and I think we’re getting there.”
