Wardell Stephen “Steph” Curry II was born on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, but grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry and the older brother of current NBA player Seth Curry.
Stephen attended Davidson College, where he played college basketball and led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight in the 2008 NCAA Tournament. After being selected seventh overall by the Golden State Warriors in the 2009 NBA Draft, Curry quickly became one of the league’s most electrifying players.
