Chisora vs. Washington Betting Analysis
Derek Chisora
Chisora is a long-time top heavyweight boxer who has been a big star in the UK boxing scene and competed at the highest level you can in the UK for many years. With experience against guys like Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte, and Oleksandr Usyk, Chisora has now accumulated a professional record of 33-13 with 23 KOs. Even at his age, he proved in his last bout against Fury that he can still take some heavy shots.
Chisora is only 6’1” with a 74” reach in the heavyweight division, which has given him some issues against the bigger punchers of the world. He is a legend of the UK boxing scene, winning the national championships as an amateur back in 2006 and holding both the British and Commonwealth titles. He has lost both title shots given to him in 2012 and 2022.
Gerald Washington
The former professional football player-turned-boxer, Washington, has a professional record of 20-5-1 with 13 KOs under his belt. Washington played college ball at USC. He worked in the Navy. Now, at 41, he boxes at the highest level, Gerald has had quite the resume in his adult life.
His lone title shot was against Deontay Wilder in 2017, where the fight was stopped in the 5th round after Washington was dropped and continued to take damage from the legendary power-puncher.

Chisora vs. Washington Betting Preview
Before getting to the Chisora vs Washington prediction, let’s take a look at how the betting lines look.
According to boxing odds, Chisora is coming in as a sizeable -600 betting favorite over the +400 underdog in Washington. The over/under is set at 6.5 rounds, with the fight being +275 to go to a decision.
Chisora is currently -210 to win by KO, while Washington is +750 to do the same. Washington’s best way to win is arguably to outbox Chisora to a decision, and that’s +1100 to happen–so keep that in mind if you are leaning towards a Washington upset.
On the technical side of things, Washington is coming in with a big size advantage at 6’6” and a long 82” reach. He isn’t some kind of master boxer, but he can use his length well if he stays focused and handles the big shots coming his way.
Chisora’s advantage is honestly his ability to take damage while moving into range to land his big shots. Neither man will wow anybody with their footwork or boxing ability; it will be a battle of toughness and conditioning.
Chisora vs. Washington Prediction
Even after breaking down the odds and how this fight looks on paper, it’s so tough to make boxing predictions. These two are past their prime, with neither of them experiencing a positive outcome in quite some time.
The official Chisora vs Washington prediction is Chisora getting his hand raised on Saturday night. Even if it’s an awful fight, it’s going to be tough for Chisora to lose on scorecards in London.
The main reason for this pick is Chisora is the tougher man, and Washington has been way too easy to hit hard in his last 5-6 fights. Chisora should be able to put a performance together to come away with a win in front of the London crowd.
