Erickson Lubin vs Luis Arias Betting Analysis
Erickson Lubin
2013 Golden Gloves amateur champion Erickson Lubin opted to go professional tahter than chase the 2016 Olympic team after going 143-7 in his amateur career. Lubin built an 18-0 professional record with 12 knockouts to earn a shot at the WBC Super Welterweight Championship. However, Lubin was knocked out by Jermell Charlo on October 14th, 2017, with a counter uppercut as he was moving down and toward Charlo.
After a year on the sidelines, Lubin returned to work and climbed the rankings with three consecutive stoppage wins and four stoppages across a six-fight winning streak, earning another title shot.
Unfortunately for Lubin, he is 0-2 when chasing either the lineal or interim WBC Super Welterweight titles after losing to Sebastian Fundora via corner stoppage in the ninth round. While Fundora knocked Lubin down in the second round, Lubin fired back with a beautiful combination sending Fundora to the mat. Lubin’s fight with Fundora was PBC 2022 Fight of the Year.
Luis Arias
Luis Arias opened his career winning 18 of his first 19 fights, with his record’ lone blemish being a majority decision win overturned to a no-contest.
However, in his last six fights, Arias has posted a 2-3-1 record, with one win and two losses coming via unanimous decision, one win and one loss being split decisions, a loss on points, and a split draw against Gabriel Rosado, where the three judges had three wildly different scores.
