Nick Arbuckle’s struggling Ottawa Redblacks (3-10) head to the west coast to face Vernon Adams Jr. and the feasting BC Lions (9-4).

The Redblacks head into this game with the worst record in Canadian football. Nonetheless, they mathematically have a road to the postseason.
In their last matchup, they fell to the Toronto Argonauts in blowout fashion. They lost 45-15 as they could not get the wheels going that night!
The Lions have already punched their ticket to the playoffs, as they have been very good this year. Last week, they suffered a key loss against a divisional opponent.
After beating them two weeks ago, the Lions fell flat against the Calgary Stampeders 25-11.

Ottawa Redblacks
Even with their recent poor play, they still can miraculously make the postseason. They lie one game back from Hamilton and three games back from Montreal. This could be a push for the ages!
If they try to make some noise, this team has to get it together. In their loss last week, the most positive thing that came out of that game was their run defense.
Rushing Yards
They allowed under 150 total rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. In a game that was terrible, they had that going for them.
The biggest negative from that game was, you guessed it, the defense. Even with one interception, 45 points is a lot, considering the poor offensive play.
They could not stop the pass for the life of them, allowing nearly 250 yards passing and three scores!
Butler’s Yards
In terms of the Lions vs. Redblacks betting picks, they can win under the condition they limit James Butler’s yards.
Even with a weak secondary, stopping a key part of the Lions’ rushing attack could lead them to victory.
BC Lions
With a playoff spot locked up and the division almost out of reach, what do they really have to play for? Based on last week’s poor performance, there seems to be a need for improvement. Playing in tight games is something they ought to avoid.
The best part of their game last week was their ability to create big plays. The running backs averaged over five yards per carry, and the receivers had over ten yards per catch.
While their total yardage was short, they were able to make big-time plays! If we’re being honest, nothing really went right for this team last week.
BC Lions’ Offense
The offense sucked as they had barely scraped up 200 yards from scrimmage. The defense let up almost 300 passing yards and over 100 yards rushing. That is not good.
In terms of the Lions vs. Redblacks betting picks, what they need to do to win this game is revert back to the team they were this season.
With the exception of two games, the Lions have been an exceptional club regardless of who is under center. They can easily win this game!
