Bo Levi Mitchell and the Calgary Stampeders (5-3) head to Toronto to face off against McLeod Bethel-Thompson and the Toronto Argonauts!
This game is electric, and you are definitely going to want to check out the Toronto Argonauts vs. Calgary Stampeders Betting Predictions!
Stampeders Heartbreak
The Calgary Stampeders are coming off a heartbreaking loss during a game for the ages! They fell to the roaring BC Lions by a mere one point!
They let Nathan Rourke throw for over 500 yards on them which is a large concern. The Argonauts split their series against the Tiger-Cats and lost to them last week.
It was a one-possession game, and Toronto did not play so badly as they fell 34-27. That seven-point game was closer than it seemed.
Stampeders vs. Argonauts Betting Analysis
Stampeders Analysis
What a heartbreaking loss last week for the Stampeders! An all-time classic game sadly just goes the other way. But now, as they fade in the divisional standings while still maintaining a postseason spot, they need a win more than ever!
There are a fair number of question marks surrounding the Stampeders roster this week as MANY of their star wideouts and running backs are listed as questionable for this match.
But there is still one constant source of success, and he comes in the form of a QB that has the lowest INT% in all of Canadian football! With the efficient passing of Bo Levi Mitchell, he will always put this club in place to succeed.
Stampeders Defense
When you look at the Stamps defense, there is one man you do not want to throw the ball to, and that is the man who is tied for interception lead in the CFL.
Titus Wall is that guy but beyond that. The rest of the defense is snoozing, and it is similar to watching an Elks game.
The question is, who is the next man up? It’s the age-old question in the NFL. Since there are so many question marks surrounding this club, who will the next generation of playmakers be?
Argonauts Analysis
The lead continues to shrink for Toronto. The (L)east division is coming close to dropping that L, but the Argos lead has, in fact, been shortened. This is going to be an uphill battle for a team that cannot afford to lose its division lead.
This week, Toronto lost a key part of its offense for the remainder of the season. Future Hall of Fame running back Andrew Harris is due to a chest injury.
The offensive passing attack has been very efficient in terms of gaining yards as they average the third most amount of passing yards per game.
CFL Stats
CFL stats show they have struggled in the points department and, as a result, are ranked 5th in points per game. Without Andrew Harris, this offense looks much different.
With the exception of last week, Toronto’s defense has been consistently solid this year. They have allowed 30+ points only twice this year which is not too shabby.
With two sacks per game, they have been getting to the passer at a slightly below-average pace.
Will the Argonauts Be Able to Contain the Stampeders?
The question for this team is whether they will be able to contain the WR corps in Calgary or not. While most of them seem to hurt, Bo Levi Mitchell will be slinging that ball all around.
This secondary allows over 250 passing yards per game, which will not be able to win this ball game! So can they clamp down?
CFL Injury Report
Key Stampeders Injuries:
- Ka’Deem Carey is questionable (Hamstring)

Teams Betting Trends
- Calgary is 3-5 ATS
- Toronto is 4-4 ATS
- The Stampeders point differential is +55
- The Argonauts point differential is -28
Calgary Stampeders vs. Toronto Argonauts Betting Preview
The winner of this game will be the team with the better secondary. With Toronto RB Andrew Harris out for the season and Calgary RB Ka’Deem Carey being questionable, the run game will be minimalized.
With that comes responsibility for the secondary to make big stops as most of the offense will be passing!
So what does Vegas think about this matchup? The CFL odds currently favor the Stampeders by 2.5 points. Could they cover the spread, or will the underdog Argos come and take it from under their nose?
Calgary Stampeders vs. Toronto Argonauts Betting Prediction
There are too many question marks surrounding Calgary to pick them in this matchup. Their defense is poor at best, and their offense looks like a preseason roster right now.
The Argonauts have done a great job of playing a top-tier passing offense, which Calgary will not be able to stop as they have not done it all year. Bet Argonauts +2.5 for your CFL picks.
CFL Pick: Argonauts +2.5 (-110)
