CFL Week 10 Analysis
The CFL Week 10 betting insights see quarterback injuries as playing a big role in the outcomes of the games this week. Trevor Harris will be out for Saskatchewan this week. Shea Patterson has played well in his absence. The bigger news is Vernon Adams being out for British Columbia, where Jake Dolegala will be his replacement.
The best game of the week could be in Toronto, where Calgary visits in a quick rematch of last week’s game. Calgary stunned Toronto with a 21-0 fourth quarter to steal the victory. The Stampeders are 4-0 at home this season, but 0-4 on the road.
The Argonauts look to continue that streak on Friday. Six of the eight CFL teams have better home records than they do away. The two exceptions are Hamilton, which is 1-3 at home and on the road, and Edmonton, which is 0-4 at home and 1-3 on the road.
Toronto is 3-1 at home and 1-3 on the road, so the Argos need a victory over Calgary. They should be able to turn the tables on the Stampeders here and will play Toronto -1 this week.
CFL Week 10 Odds
- Ottawa Redblacks -3 over Saskatchewan Roughriders; Total 48.5
- Toronto Argonauts -1 over Calgary Stampeders; Total 49.5
- Montreal Alouettes -7.5 over Hamilton Tiger-Cats; Total 50.5
- Edmonton Elks -1.5 over British Columbia Lions; Total 49.5 (over -115)
CFL Week 10 Betting Analysis
The CFL odds in the Ottawa game moved from Redblacks -1.5 to Ottawa -3 on reports that Harris was sitting the game out, even though he was a full participant in Monday’s practice. Patterson hasn’t done a bad job filling in for him and the line might be a shade high. The Redblacks are unbeaten at home, however, so you can understand the move.
The CFL Week 10 betting insights show Toronto allowed six sacks in the loss to Calgary and that turned out to be the difference in the game. The Stampeders scored two touchdowns and two field goals in the fourth quarter of their comeback win.
The Stampeders had a total yards advantage, with most of that coming in the fourth quarter. Toronto ran the ball well but didn’t stick with it enough. The Argonauts won’t make that mistake this week.
The CFL football predictions have Montreal cruising to a victory over Hamilton provided it’s motivated. That could be a question mark if Ottawa loses on Friday. If the Redblacks win, that gives the Alouettes a little more incentive here.
British Columbia opened as a 6-point favorite before the news of Adams and his leg injury broke. The game was quickly pulled off the board and came back out with Edmonton favored. That might be giving too much credit to Adams and how much he means to the Lions.

CFL Betting Trends
After going 2-2 last week, CFL home teams are now 24-12 straight-up this season and 21-15 (58.3%) against the spread. Totals are 17-19 this season. Both overtime games have landed under the total.
CFL Week 10 Betting Picks
Take the Toronto Argonauts -1 over the Calgary Stampeders. The CFL Week 10 betting insights show the Argonauts follow the pattern of CFL teams playing better at home this season. Toronto is 3-1 at BMO Stadium this season, while Calgary is winless on the road. The Argonauts are a solid 13-2 straight-up in their last 15 games at home and all they need to do is win this game.
The Stampeders have had Toronto’s number recently, so this is a chance for the Argonauts to make amends for last week and a few others. As long as the Argonauts run the ball early and often, they should win this game.
