While the final score may have seemed to have been a large win margin for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, they did not pull away until the final frame.
The Montréal Alouettes were able to keep the game moderately close last week, and considering their record has come as a shock to many people. Will this be the week the Winnipeg Blue Bombers finally catch a loss?
Trevor Harris and the Montréal Alouettes (2-6) face off against Zach Collaros and the undefeated Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-0).
This could be the trap game that analysts have been talking about. Has the Bombers’ unreal run come to an end?
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. Montreal Alouettes betting analysis and predictions are down below!
CFL Previous Scoreboards
The last game for both of these teams was against each other in week nine! The Winnipeg Blue Bombers came on top of that matchup by a score of 35-20.
Winnipeg managed to put up 21 points in the final frame as they pulled away from the Alouettes. Could this week be different?
Alouettes vs. Blue Bombers Betting Analysis
Alouettes Analysis
Last week was not one of the brightest moments for the Alouettes. Even though they were not blown out by the best team in the league, allowing 21 points in the final 15 minutes is truly unacceptable.
Alouettes Lineup Breakdown
The QB struggle was real in their game last week. Trevor Harris had a poor outing against Winnipeg as he threw for 61.5% completion and had a TD:INT ratio of 1:2. He was relieved by Dominique Davis, who completed four of five passes with one major.
WR Eugene Lewis continued to dominate as he caught nine of his 15 targets and had over 100 yards!
No telling what this offense will look like next week under center with the potential return of Vernon Adams Jr. There are so many question marks for the Alouettes.
Alouettes Struggle
The struggle has been unreal for the Montréal defense. They always start out strong and blow it all in the second half.
They allowed 14 points in the first three quarters and then threw it all away. They forced three interceptions on Zach Collaros and minimized the yardage, but they could not stop the scoring.
The question remains if this defense can hold. This has been the problem all season for Montreal in the final frame.
They need to be able to close out, which they have yet to do this year. If they can finish strong, the Als could have the upset of the year!
Blue Bombers Analysis
The Bombers have made some major noise this year. They are the first 9-0 team since the BC Lions in ‘05. They have been rather impressive through the first part of the year but could this all change?
Blue Bombers Lineup Breakdown
The offense had a poor performance last week. The amount of turnovers and the low completion percentage has been unacceptable.
Reigning MOP Zach Collaros played his worst game of the year as he tossed three picks and had a sub 60% completion. The running game was non-existent.
Blue Bomber’s Defense
The Bombers’ defense and special teams has been the story of this team success. They scored one major on special teams and totaled over 150 return yards!
On defense, they had two interceptions, sacked the opposing QB three times last game, and allowed only 20 points! That is dependable dominance!
The question for this team is can this offense become more dependable? Their offense has not been the best all year.
They were almost caught off guard and blew it last week. If they seek to not fall into this trap game, they need to find some sort of dependable scoring. They should not depend on the defense.

Alouettes vs. Blue Bombers Betting Preview
The key to this matchup will be the offense. Neither offense was so stellar last week, in my opinion. Both defenses showed some promise and weakness. The offenses are going to be key to success in this matchup.
What does Vegas have to say on this matter? The CFL odds currently favor the Blue Bombers by 12 points on this matchup.
Montreal Alouettes vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers Betting Prediction
The fun ends in Winnipeg this week. I believe this will FINALLY be the week the Bombers go down. The Alouettes looked very promising, and with the high likelihood of dynamic QB Vernon Adams Jr. to come back, this team looks dangerous.
The Als will at least cover this not too generous spread! La Belle Province will finally snap their two-game losing stretch!
CFL Pick: Alouettes +12 (-110)
