Tadej Pogacar has been one of the best cyclists on the planet and continues to dominate during the 2022 season as he won at Tirreno-Adriatico for points classification as well as young rider classification, 1st in the UAE Tour, first in the Tour of Slovenia, first in the Strade Bianche, and second in the Tour de France and held the yellow jersey after Stages 6-10.
He did not compete in last year’s event and has not held or finished an event in his career at the Clasica de San Sebastian.

He has shown the ability to dominate, and at just 23 years old, I am not going to doubt his ability. He was unable to win his third consecutive Tour de France this year, so he is ready to bounce back and showcase his abilities in a one-day course.
Another person I would peg for a chance to win the 2022 Clasica de San Sebastian would be Neilson Powless, as he won this event last year.
Though the course has changed a little bit from a year ago, he is still in the top 30 cyclists in the world today and should be able to dominate in this event.

You have to respect the reigning champion of this event as a lot of the course is extremely similar and that means he has done this with excellence not too long ago.
