If you are looking for the nominees of 95th Academy Awards predictions, you have come to the right place. The 95th Academy Awards (or the Oscars) are still months away and taking place March 12th, 2023, but that has not stopped betting sites from already releasing odds on this year’s nominees.
The predictions of the 95th Academy Awards nominees have been all over the board. Our focus will be on the big hitters in categories like Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Picture, which tend to also be the most popular categories for those who bet on entertainment.
The Golden Globes
With the 80th Golden Globe Awards also around the corner, it will give an idea of who could potentially win big at the Academy Awards.
While winning at the Golden Globes doesn’t necessarily lead to a night of wins at the Oscars. The Golden Globes are chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, while the Oscars are chosen by a large range of Academy members.
It is unlikely that many films will suddenly emerge out of nowhere to steal some victories. The nominees for the 95th Academy Awards will be officially announced on January 24th, 2023, and will likely be similar to those at the Golden Globes.
With the big hitters again, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Picture, we have our predictions of the 95th Academy awards nominees, and Academy Awards picks based on the latest buzz around Hollywood.
2023 Best Actor Nominee Odds and Prediction
- Brendan Fraser (The Whale) -165
- Austin Butler (Elvis) +400
- Hugh Jackman (The Son) +900
- Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin) +900
- Nicolas Cage (Butcher’s Crossing) +1500
Brendan Fraser (The Whale) -165
After taking a hiatus from acting and the Hollywood limelight due to personal reasons, American-Canadian actor Brendan Fraser is gaining significant buzz for his lead role in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale.
Hollywood and the Academy Awards love a great comeback story. This gives Brendan Fraser a leg up on the others remaining in the top five Academy Awards betting odds. Although the nominees have not been officially announced, Brendan Fraser is expected to earn his first-ever Oscar nomination and has the best odds to win the Best Actor award.
While the film itself, The Whale, has not gained a ton of national recognition, Brendan Fraser’s role has been getting the recognition. While the other potential nominees are more well-known than Fraser, his performance and comeback to acting are deserving of the best odds.
Our prediction is that he wins this award over the likes of Austin Butler, Hugh Jackman, Colin Farrell, and Nicolas Cage.
2023 Best Actress Nominee Odds and Prediction
- Cate Blanchett (Tar) +175
- Margot Robbie (Babylon) +500
- Viola Davis (The Woman King) +550
- Olivia Colman (Empire of Light) +600
- Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once) +700
Cate Blanchett (Tar) +175
While the best actor category features many big-hitting names along with a comeback story, the Best Actress category is a little different, with just two well-known names and three newcomers. Cate Blanchett has already won two Oscars prior to this year.
Her first was for Best Supporting Actress in The Aviator in 2004, and then she won the Best Actress Oscar for Blue Jasmine in 2013. With her odds currently the best and by a decent margin, she is the actress to beat in this category for her role in Tar as a conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
In Todd Field’s first film in over a decade, Tar is considered a psychological drama. While the movie itself isn’t the easiest to watch, Blanchett has been widely praised for her role as a complicated conductor in classical music.
As for our nominees of 95th Academy Awards predictions, at plus money, we suggest you throw some money at her winning this category.
2023 Best Picture Nominee Odds and Prediction
- The Fabelmans +110
- Babylon +400
- The Banshees of Inisherin +600
- Everything Everywhere All at Once +650
- Women Talking +1,000
Considered the most popular award of them all. The Best Picture is one of the highest honors a film can receive in all of Hollywood.
This category is all the final set of predictions of the 95th Academy awards nominees that we have. And the film with the best odds was created by someone very familiar with Hollywood and the Oscars.
The Fabelmans +110
That film is the Fabelmans, directed by Steven Spielberg, who has already had six films of his get nominated for this award in the past, with just one winning with Schindler’s List in 1994. He, along with the rest of his cast and crew, will be looking to get The Fabelmans a much-deserved win.
Considered a semi-autobiographical, this film has only been in theaters a short time but has already garnered much buzz from critics despite its lack of box office buzz. With a name like Steven Spielberg attached, The Fabelmans is very deserving of this nomination and of its +110 odds.
As for the last of our nominees of 95th Academy Awards predictions, we recommend going with Steven Spielberg and crew pulling it off and taking this award home.
