The VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022 Finals kicks off next week, on July 28, featuring some of the Valorant esports scene’s best second-tier teams who will compete for the lion’s share of the €150,000 prize pool.
Even though the tournament won’t welcome any of the world’s top Valorant teams, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any excellent esports betting opportunities to explore.
So without further ado, here is our VALORANT Regional Leagues Finals betting analysis with our esports expert picks and top Valorant odds.
2022 Valorant Regional Leagues Betting Analyisis and Picks
Team Vitality
Team Vitality enter VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022 as one of the favorites to claim the trophy, which makes a lot of sense given their success in the Revolution Stage 2 champions.
The French squad hadn’t had a perfect run through the tournament, albeit they didn’t need it.
They finished the regular season in second place, behind MAD Lions, with a 14-4 record and +70 round difference, before turning on their jets in the playoffs.
There they edged past Karmine Corp (3-2) before crushing the regular season champions MAD Lions with 3-0 with 16-14,13-4, and 13-8.
A Phenomenal Run
It was a phenomenal run from Vitality, albeit it was also their first title of the season, so it’s not like Vitality have been a force to be reckoned with this year.
Vitality even failed to qualify for the VCT 2022 EU Stage 1 Challengers, granted they came close with third and fourth-place finishes in the two closed qualifiers in January.
Since then, Vitality have attended just two events, including VRL 2022 France: Revolution Stage, where they placed fifth.
Vitality’s Performance this Season
Admittedly, Vitality hasn’t shown much this season, but they’ve found their stride recently, and if their success in the VRL 2022 France: Revolution Stage 2 is any indication, they should be able to cause some serious damage in VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022.
Excel Esports
We continue our VALORANT Regional Leagues Finals betting analysis with Excel Esports, who are priced as one of the favorites to win the tournament.
The Valorant betting odds show Excel as tied favorites with Vitality, which is hardly surprising, albeit we would argue that Excel deserves to be the top dog.
Excel esports qualified for this event by winning Northern Europe: Polaris Stage 2, where they proved to be a class above every other team.
Excel’s Performance this Season
Excel won the regular season with a 6-1 record and a +64 round difference before showing a dominant performance in the playoffs.
In the final stage of the tournament, Excel swept KOVA (2-0) and Team Finest (2-0) and then crushed Finest again in the finals (3-1) to defend their Polaris title, which they won in March.
Besides winning the two regional leagues, Excel also came one victory short of qualifying for EMEA Stage 1 Challengers.
FUT Esports
The latest esports odds show FUT Esports as one of the underdogs to win the tournament, which sounds about right.
They’re not quite as good as Vitality or Excel, but FUT Esports are definitely solid enough to cause some damage.
Results-wise, the Turkish squad has looked very similar to Vitality. They came close to qualifying for EMEA Challengers 1 at the start of the year and haven’t won much since recently.
After barely making it through the VRL 2022 Turkey: Birlik Stage 1, FUT Esports then placed fifth-sixth in the event, failing to produce much.
FUT Esports’ Performance this Season
But things looked much better earlier this month when FUT Esports won their first title of the year by edging past Fire Flux Esports in the finals of VRL 2022 Turkey: Birlik Stage 2.
Even though the Turkish league is not as strong as other European regional leagues, Turkish squads have done well internationally before, so we wouldn’t sleep on FUT Esports.
VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022 Betting Pick and Prediction
If we had to pick a team with the best chance of winning the tournament, it would be Excel Esports. Even though the latest esports betting odds show that Excel are as strong as Vitality.
We would argue that they’re slightly better, mainly because Excel have looked good throughout the entire season, whereas Vitality have only recently found their stride.
Form is important, but there is nothing that would suggest Vitality are in a better form than Excel ahead of VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022. As an outsider pick, you can’t go wrong with FUT Esports.
Who to Bet On?
The Turkish squad are underrated only because they hail from a weaker region, but as they’ve shown before, FUT Esports can compete with the best Europe offers.
So even though we like Excel, FUT Esports are a better pick for our money.
