New York Subliners enter this match on a streak of seven wins from their last eight outings. That includes victories against LA Thieves (twice), Team WaR, London Royal Ravens, Paris Legion, Tronto Ultra, and Boston Breach. Meanwhile, their only defeat over that stretch came against the reigning CoD champions, Atlanta FaZe.
On the other side, Paris Legion have yet to wash away the stigma of being one of the weakest team in the league. They’re 0-2 in the CoD Major 3 qualifiers with defeats against London Royal Ravens and Seattle Surge and have managed just two wins from the previous five outings – against Ultra Academy and Los Angeles Guerrillas.
At the same time, they were no match for Royal Ravens, Breach, and the Subliners.

The CoD esports betting odds show New York Sublibers as massive favorites to defeat Paris Legion, and that makes a lot of sense. Not only have the Subliners achieved far more than the Legion this season, but they’ve also beaten the French squad (3-0) at the start of May.
Admittedly, Paris Legion have shown some improvement, but it remains to be seen whether that will be enough for them to upset the high-flying Subliners on Saturday.
New York Subliners
Ever since New York Subliners made changes to its lineup, this team has been on fire. They might not deserve to be viewed as the main CoD crown contenders just yet, but the Subliners made a huge splash at the Pro-Am, which they won without any real issues.
Admittedly, they fell against Atlanta FaZe (1-3) in the first week of CoD Major 3 qualifiers, but besides that defeat, Subliners looked unstoppable. And even though Subliners lost against FaZe, we have no issue ranking them as one of the top-three teams in the league, behind OpTic Texas and Atlanta FaZe.
Not only have Subliners proven that they can compete against any CoD team, but they also have a very easy match ahead of them as they take on arguably the weakest team in the league. And as if that wasn’t enough, the Subliners already smashed Paris Legion earlier this month.
This team has a very high ceiling, and it’s hard not to be excited thinking about what they can bring to the table.
Paris Legion
Paris Legion are a very weird team. It seems like every time they show some life, they quickly fall apart and return to their old ways.
They looked solid at the Pro-Am Call of Duty tournament, but it wasn’t like they had a crazy performance. They deserve some praise for making it out of their pool, which nobody expected, but they ended up losing to the eventual champions, New York Subliners, in the quarter-finals with 0-3.
With that defeat, the Legion are now at just four series victories on the year, which is a very concerning record. Their only four Ws of 2022 came against Seattle Surge, Toronto Ultra, LA Guerrillas, and Ultra Academy. But as noted, there was some improvement.
Last week, Paris Legion forced London Royal Ravens to five maps, and they stole one map from Seattle Surge. It’s not much, but it’s something.

There weren’t any changes made to either roster ahead of the weekend’s clash, but it would be wise to follow the teams’ social media if they happen to make any adjustments for this round’s fixtures.
Paris Legion vs NY Subliners Betting Preview
Anything can happen in the CoD, but it is doubtful for Paris Legion to defeat or come even close to defeating New York Subliners. Even though Paris Legion have shown some glimpses of greatness, even at their best, they haven’t shown enough for us to believe they can compete with the Subliners.
The only way for Paris Eternal to put up a good fight is for Johnathan “John” Perez and Bryan “Jimbo” Sabman to show some improvement. We must admit that Donovan “Temp” Laroda and Thomas “GRVTY” Malin have both looked solid of late, but if you have two players performing well and the other half of the roster failing, you can’t expect to achieve any results.

No matter how you look at this match, the Subliners are a superior team. While the New York squad are arguably one of the top-three squads in the league, Paris Legion are easily one of the weakest. We aren’t ready to say that Paris Legion are undeniably the weakest team in the CoD, but that is only because GRVTY and Temp are holding this squad above the water.
Nevertheless, Paris Legion have not shown enough for us to consider them as a serious threat to the Subliners.

Not only should New York Subliners win, but they should win with plenty to spare. They’re the superior team in all elements of the game, and unless they shoot themselves in the foot, this should be a clean 3-0.
