100 Thieves and Ghost Gaming are tied for first place in VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Challengers 2 with a 3-1 record. Due to the better map difference (+31), 100 Thieves sit above Ghost Gaming (+27), but the tie will be broken on Saturday, June 11, when the two teams meet on the battlefield.
It will mark 100T’s first meeting with Ghost Gaming since February 2021, when 100T won 2-0, albeit the teams fielded different rosters at the time, so we wouldn’t overreact to that result. But what does that mean for our Valorant betting picks?
Last game records
100 Thieves enter the final week of VCT NA Challenger 2 with a 3-1 record. They’ve beaten XSET (2-0), The Guard (2-0), and NRG (2-0) with ease but lost against TSM (0-2) during Week 2. Although a disappointing result, that loss was a complete fluke.
Ghost Gaming share the same 3-1 record this tournament, with a defeat against XSET (2-0) in the opening week of the group stage. But Ghost have since not lost a single game, with wins against The Guard (2-1), NRG (2-0), and TSM (2-0).

Ghost Gaming vs. 100 Thieves Betting Analysis
Ghost Gaming content
Ghost Gaming have not achieved much since the team entered the professional Valorant scene, and even though you will read about them in any esports betting guide, Ghost have never emerged as one of NA’s top teams.
They kicked off the 2022 season with a top-four finish at Knights Arena Valorampage, which is hardly impressive. And they were particularly disappointing at NSG: Winter Championship – Last Chance Qualifier, where they placed ninth-16th.
Ghost’s woes continued in the VCT NA Stage 1 Challengers open qualifiers, where they bombed out in ninth-12th, thus missing out on the first VCT. But things started looking up in March when Ghost Gaming won Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet 2022.
They added another Knights Arena Monthly title in April and have successfully qualified for VCT NA Stage 2 Challengers with a perfect run through the qualifiers. Since then, Ghost have played just four games, all of which came at the VCT Stage 2 Challengers.
With a 3-1 record this tournament, Ghost are now on a run of two defeats and 15 wins, which is impressive. Albeit most of their wins came against weaker opponents.
100 Thieves content
100 Thieves are the esports betting favorites for this bout, even though they haven’t achieved far more than Ghost Gaming this season.
The 100 Thieves kicked off the 2022 season with a runner-up finish at Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet 2022: February but then went on a streak of humiliating performances.
Most notably, 100T choked in VCT NA Stage 1 Challengers, where they could only manage a ninth-10th place finish. Things did not improve in the next couple of months, seeing how 100T reached in three top-5s at Proving Grounds $20k – Spring 2022, Knights Gauntlet Circuit Monthly 2022: April, and VCT 2022: NA Stage 2 Challengers – Open Qualifier 1.
But we have to note that 100T were going through several roster changes at the time and have only recently found a perfect lineup, which helped them cruise through the VCT Challengers qualifiers and into the main event.
Here they have lost just one series against TSM, but as noted, it was a complete fluke and hardly an indication of 100T’s lack of quality.
Updates
Ghost Gaming has not made a single roster change since April, when the NA squad added aproto as a replacement for ryann.
100 Thieves, on the other side, made their last roster change on April 21, when they released Ethan, who joined NRG. A week prior, 100T signed Derrek, stellar, and Will as the final missing pieces to the organization’s new roster.
Ghost Gaming vs. 100 Thieves Betting Preview
Ghost Gaming and 100 Thieves have not met once this season, mainly because Ghost Gaming have never played at the top level before this stage. That explains why esports betting odds show 100 Thieves as the favorites, and you can easily find several reasons why 100T should win.
They look stronger on paper and have looked better throughout the group stage. At the same time, you can’t undervalue Ghost Gaming’s performances. Their only defeat came in Week 1 against XSET, meaning Ghost Gaming are unbeaten in their last three.
Moreover, they have beaten all other top teams in Group A, suggesting that they should be at least competitive on Friday.
Ghost Gaming vs. 100 Thieves Betting Prediction
Betting on 100 Thieves seems like a clear choice, but at the offered esports odds, they don’t seem like the best pick for this match. Admittedly, 100T seem to field more talent, but the team as a whole have shown some cracks.
Their defeat against TSM was a fluke, but it was still a loss in which 100T stumbled, and they have since shown a couple more iffy showings. On that note, we must also acknowledge that Ghost Gaming have beaten all teams in the tournament – besides XSET, who upset them on day one.
How to bet on Ghost Gaming vs. 100 Thieves
A bet on Ghost Gaming isn’t a bad choice, especially if you can get good Valorant odds on the game. But we’re leaning more towards Over 2.5 maps. Both teams have proven that they can be strong, but they also have their flaws.
We expect a close and entertaining affair, which can easily extend to three maps. Both teams will be hungry to win, and based on their recent performances, it seems like the final result will come down to which roster will show up on the day.
Prediction: Over 2.5 maps
