After a break in the schedule, the League of Legends is ready to once again pick up its season in January with the 2023 Spring Split. When it comes to the LCS Spring preview, we can see that we are in for an event with ten teams that play in a double round-robin format. The top six teams will qualify for the playoffs.
Of those top six teams, anyone involved with esports betting knows that the top four teams will start in the upper bracket for the playoffs, while the fifth and sixth-place teams will start in the lower bracket.
Here’s a look at some LOL predictions for the Spring Split.
Team Liquid ready to make waves
When it came to putting together a strong team, Team Liquid (+250) left no stone unturned to find top talent. Anyone who follows esports betting knows that Team Liquid was disappointed following failing to meet expectations last season. So to try and shore up a title chase, Team Liquid went out to grab strong players.
They signed World Champion Jungler Pyosik in addition to Summit to form a top duo. Team Liquid will also lean on unproven young players Yeon and Haeri. Anyone making LOL predictions will also remember Core JJ, who is a strong part of the lineup. When it comes to the LOL esports schedule, this is one of the top teams to watch.
FlyQuest hopes to rise above the disappointing finish
Anyone looking at the LCS Spring preview will also see that Flyquest (+250) is another team expected to contend for the championship. Last season didn’t go in their direction, and that seems to be the trend for the past few years. What FlyQuest has been doing is putting together a strong roster that can stem the tide.
With Impact, Spica, Vicla, Prince and Eyla leading things, FlyQuest should have a chance to grab a crown. Prince has one of the best splits an ADC has ever put together.
Evil Geniuses don’t change the formula
When it comes to the Evil Genuises team, they didn’t make too many changes entering this challenge. The Evil Geniuses (+400) didn’t focus on the roster too much when it came to making improvements.
Instead, the Evil Geniuses made major changes at the leadership level. The evil Genuises saw coaches Peter Dun and Rigby depart.
Cloud9 sees some turmoil
Cloud9 (+500) brought in Diplex in the mid-lane to replace Jensen. While there aren’t any individual roster changes to be worried about, Cloud9 did have a coach Max Waldo drop out late in the process before the competition started.
100 Thieves is an emerging team
When it came to offseason buzz, few teams made as much noise as 100 Thieves (+1100). Doublelift, who came out of a one-year retirement, will join up with Bjergsen to play for 100 Thieves. This is a team that will have a lot of esports enthusiasts excited to watch some more established stars play.
However, the roster doesn’t have as much depth to it as some of the other squads. While they may turn some heads, they aren’t real challengers for the title.
Dignitas puts together an interesting mix
When it comes to Dignitas (+1500), there doesn’t seem to be much talk surrounding them winning a championship. However, the roster they have put together shows they may be fun to watch. Armut will be in the top lane for Dignitas, but he is coming off a poor performance with Mad Lions at Worlds.
Santorin will accompany Armut. Dignitas also will have Jensen on the roster, who split with Cloud 9 after last season. The bot lane doesn’t seem to have much promise, as Spawn and Ignar has struggled as of late.
Prediction
Team Liquid is a motivated bunch. After failing to win last season after making an attempt to put together a super team, Team Liquid has once again brought in some of the top talent to try and make a run at the title. While FlyQuest will make a strong run at the championship, taking Team Liquid at +250 isn’t a bad price.
When it comes to the LCS spring preview, it is important to keep an eye on the roster as the event approaches, just in case there are major changes before things start.
