The 3M Open begins on Thursday, July 21st, at TPC Twin Cities just outside of Minneapolis in Blaine, Minnesota. Check the 3M Open Betting Analysis below.
The field of around 156 players will compete in a traditional four-day stroke play event, with the winner crowned on Sunday afternoon.
This is one of only three tournaments remaining on the tour schedule until the FedEx Cup Playoffs begin.
The 3M Open is in its fourth year as one of the youngest tournaments on the PGA Tour. Prior to the first event in 2019, 3M had sponsored the 3M Championship for 26 years on the PGA Champions Tour.

Tony Finau comes into Thursday’s tee time as the betting favorite at +1100. Finau has cashed in on seven of eight events played since May 1st, highlighted by a pair of second-place finishes at the Mexico Open and RBC Canadian Open.
Finau made the trip to Minnesota from Scotland after grabbing a T28 at the Open Championship.
Following Finau is another Open participant in Sungjae Im at +1600. Im, the 24th-ranked player in the world, snuck into the weekend last week for a T81 finish at St. Andrews after missing his last two cuts.
The Shriners Classic winner had five consecutive top-25 finishes prior to his missed cut at the U.S. Open.
- Maverick McNealy
- Cameron Tringale
- Adam Hadwin
- Hideki Matsuyama
Can all be grabbed at +1400. Tringale is the one that stands out, capturing a T6 at the Genesis Scottish Open two weeks ago and a T14 at the U.S. Open in June.
2022 3M Open General Info
TPC Twin Cities is a mundane parkland-style setup with trees and water features dotting the property. Low scores are abundant here, but there are some holes on the course that offer risk-reward for the players. The Arnold Palmer design will play as a par-71 and stretch over 7,400 yards.
The average winning score on the property over the first three tournaments is just over 18-under par. There are three par 5s that are tough to reach in two, along with seven par 4s of 440 yards.
The rough will be thicker than years past, with an added inch to the grass creating tougher lies if you miss the fairways.
The weather for the week should be pretty calm, with temperatures in the high 80s. There is a slight chance of some thunderstorms on the weekend, but those chances a low.
2022 3M Open Picks and Predictions
Our 2022 3M Open betting analysis picks for the 3M Open will key on players that have shown good iron play and can roll it with the flat stick.
With wide fairways and greens, players will have no trouble finding the greens in regulation; how close can you stick your approaches and can you roll in birdie putts will be the determining factor in who walks away with the title.
You can bet on golf in numerous ways, and we will list some of our favorite golf picks for this week below.
Cameron Tringale
One of the favorites heading into the wee, and rightfully so. Tringale’s game is trending in the right direction, and this could be the week the 34-year-old grabs his first Tour victory. Ranks 24th in total putting and 48th in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green.
Golf Pick: Tringale (+1800)
Davis Riley (+2200)
The 25-year-old has six top-10 finishes already this season, the last a T4 at the Charles Schwab Challange in May.
Riley won twice on the Korn Ferry Tory, so the University of Alabama alum knows what it takes to get to the winner’s circle. Ranks 12th in birdie average on Tour.
Golf Pick: Riley (+2200)
Cameron Davis
His game is trending in the right direction with a pair of top-10 finishes in his last two starts. The T8 at the John Deere Classic was followed up with a solo sixth last week at the Barracuda.
Davis ranks 14th in Going for the Green and 34th in one-putt percentage.
Golf Pick: Davis (+2200)
Rickie Fowler
Fowler opened the Genesis Scottish Open with two rounds in the 60s before stumbling on the weekend. He has no top-20 finishes since his T3 at the CJ Cup in the fall.
At 129 in the FedEx Cup standings. The 33-year-old needs to make a move this week to lock up his playing privileges for next season.
Golf Pick: Fowler (+250 to finish T20 or better)
Tom Hoge
It has been a tough stretch for the 47th-ranked player in the world with six consecutive missed cuts. The 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am winner is too good not to put it together this week. An easy layout against a weaker field, and we will take the plus money here.
Golf Pick: Hoge (+130 to finish T40 or better)
