The DP World Tour schedule has just five golf events remaining as the Tour lands in Spain for a pair of back-to-back events, beginning with the Spain Open.
When making any Spain Open predictions, keep in mind that the event is played at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid in Madrid, Spain, with a $3.25 million dollar purse. Tournament play spans four days, beginning on Thursday, October 12th, and concluding on Friday, October 15th.
Spain Open Picks

Pick Justin Rose to win the Spain Open.
Jon Rahm returns as the defending champion and three-time winner of his country’s official Open. Rahm breezed his way to victory last year, defeating runner-up Matthieu Pavon by six shots. The 28-year-old Spaniard has won the tournament in three of the last four years.
The Spanish Open is the first of two tournaments to be played in the country of Spain. Following the Spanish Open, players will remain in the country and battle for the Andalucia Masters in Sotogrande.
Before we dive into our Spain Open predictions, let us take a peek at the course and the players who will be challenging for the Spanish Open title.
Club de Campo Villa de Madrid
Club de Campo Villa de Madrid is no stranger to major golf tournaments, having played host to the Madrid Masters and Spanish Open. This event is hosted at the property’s Black Course, crafted by Spanish golf course designer Javier de Arena, among two courses.
The club itself was formed in 1929, with the golf course opening up for competition in 1956. Playing as a par-71, the layout measures just over 7,100 yards from the back tees.
Rahm’s four-day total of 259 (25-under) last year broke his aggregate tournament scoring record of 262 set in 2019. The average winning score under par over the last four years has hovered just over 20 under par.
Damos la bienvenida a @JonRahmpga, el vigente campeón del @accionaopen de España presented by Madrid, que ya está entrenando en nuestro campo. ¡A por el cuarto título! 🏌️♂️🏆

Spain Open Field
Rahm is the headliner of the event, but the Spanish Open features a handful of top golfers in action. Ryder Cup teammate Justin Rose will tee it up, along with Ryder Cup vice-captains Edoardo Molinari and Thomas Bjorn. Bjorn was the victor of this event in 1998.
Victor Perez, currently sitting sixth in the Race to Dubai rankings, joins Rahm as the only other member inside the top 10 teeing it up at this golf event. Perez captured the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship back in January.
Spain’s Pablo Larrazabal hopes to add his third victory of the year to his resume. The 40-year-old golfer’s recent victories in the Korea Championship in April and the KLM Open the next month prove his prowess. A victory this week would give Larrazabal his 10th career European win.
Spain Open Predictions
Rahm will be heavily favored by the Spain Open odds. Fresh off a 2-0-2 record at the Ryder Cup, Rahm brings confidence and past experience into the week.
When making your Spain Open picks, go with Justin Rose to deliver. Our pick is based on the fact that he is the only one in the field who can challenge Rahm.
The 43-year-old posted five top 10s in 20 events on the PGA Tour schedule in 2023, including a win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February. Rose concluded the season with a T20 finish at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and a T22 finish at the BMW Championship.
Rose will be another betting favorite this week, and with his current golf stats, we like the Englishman as one of the top Spain Open predictions to pick up his 12th European Tour win.
