American League Central Game Preview & Pick
The Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins are two powerhouse baseball teams. The Twins are currently 65-52, while the Royals are 65-53.
Now, these two teams will face each other for a three-game series to begin the week. However, despite the dominant records and good play, the Twins and Royals aren’t even in first place in the AL Central. Instead, it’s the Cleveland Guardians, who are 69-49 this year.
The Twins are 3.5 games out of the division, while the Royals are four games out.
This series, which begins this week, could significantly change this division. Plus, the first game is always important to start on the right path.
Oddsmakers have the Twins at -155 in tonight’s game. Meanwhile, the total is set at 8 in the MLB odds, with the Over juiced to -125.
Below, we’ll provide our Royals vs Twins MLB betting predictions for this exciting tilt.

Royals vs Twins MLB Betting Preview
Starting Pitchers
Brady Singer has struggled a little bit against lefties lately. Singer has allowed a .175 ISO and wOBA of .403 to 68 lefties in the last month. He’s also struck lefties out only 17.6% of the time over the previous month.
Meanwhile, our Royals vs Twins MLB betting predictions show that Pablo Lopez struggled more against righties despite being a right-handed pitcher. He’s allowed a .196 ISO and wOBA of .324 to his last 56 righties. That’s due to his high fly ball percentage and 51.4% of hard contact allowed to righties in the previous 30 days.
Brady Singer (8-7, 3.03 ERA)
- Brady Singer has held his last 121 batters to a .106 ISO and wOBA of .307.
- Singer has allowed just 20.2% of fly balls over the last month.
- The Royals righty has struck out 20.7% of batters over the last 30 days but has also walked just 5%.
Pablo Lopez (10-8, 4.74 ERA)
- Pablo Lopez has held his last 99 batters to a .122 ISO and wOBA of .276.
- Lopez’s strikeout rate has dipped in the last month. He’s only struck out 23.2% of batters in the previous 30 days.
- Lopez has averaged over 99 pitches per start in the last 30 days.
Royals vs Twins MLB Team Analysis
Kansas City Royals
- Michael Massey is back on the sidelines with an injury. He’s already been on the Injured List two times, and the Royals hope there won’t be a third.
- Kansas City placed deliver Hunter Harvey on the 15-Day Injured List a day ago due to a back injury.
- Bobby Witt Jr. will likely get some votes for the AL MVP over Aaron Judge. But Judge is still the favorite for the award.
Minnesota Twins
- Byron Buxton had another multi-home run performance for the Twins yesterday. He now has 13, which is seventh on the Twins’ all-time franchise list.
- Minnesota is expected to call up rising pitching prospect Zebby Matthews. He recently broke the top 100 prospects list.
Minnesota Doesn’t Have Much Potential
The Minnesota Twins will face Brady Singer of the Royals. As suggested, Singer is really good against righties but has struggled a tad bit against lefties.
That said, while Singer hasn’t earned a high rate of strikeouts, he’s still managed to induce 57.1% of ground balls and has limited opponents to 15.7% of fly balls.
With those numbers, Singer will likely improve against lefties over time.
In the Minnesota lineup, only two lefties have done damage over the last month against righties. That’s Trevor Larnach and Matt Wallner.
Byron Buxton and Royce Lewis have dominated righties, too. However, Singer has held righties to a .020 ISO and wOBA of .184. That’ll make it difficult for Buxton and Lewis to produce.

Kansas City Doesn’t Have It Much Better
The Kansas City Royals have hit a .185 ISO and wOBA of .357 against righties over the last month. These are good MLB team stats, but nothing to rave about. But realistically, the only super hot bat in the Kansas City lineup is Bobby Witt Jr.
He’ll have some potential against Pablo Lopez. But overall, Lopez has held his last 99 batters to a .122 ISO and wOBA of .276. He’s been really good.
Yes, his strikeouts are down. He’s also allowed a high rate of line drives to lefties and a high rate of fly balls to righties.
Yet, at home, he should be comfortable facing a rival in the Royals. Kansas City is aggressive at the plate, so it’s very likely Lopez won’t fall behind in many counts. That’ll help him get out of innings quickly and pitch deeper in the game.
Therefore, our Royals vs Twins MLB betting predictions for tonight’s game like the Under 8 (+105) for this matchup.
