For the second of a three-game slate, the Baltimore Orioles will entertain the Seattle Mariners at Camden Yards Wednesday night. The M’s took the first in decisive fashion, a 10-0 win powered by Taylor Trammell’s four RBIs.
Seattle (21-28) has come out on the right side of three of its last four, including two victories against Houston. In each of the three triumphs, the Mariners plated at least six runs.
Despite the recent success, they sit 10.5 games back of the first-place Astros in the American League West. They’re on the road after a six-game homestand.
The Orioles (21-29) have alternated wins and losses in their last six outings. Before hosting Seattle, they went on an eight-game road trip to play the New York Yankees and Boston. Baltimore currently resides at the bottom of the AL East.
They grade out in the bottom third of team batting average (.232), RBIs (178), and runs scored (190).
A trio of hitters — left fielder Austin Hays, right fielder Trey Mancini, and first baseman Ryan Mountcastle — are swinging well at home. Each has an average of .292 or better.
Meanwhile, center fielder Cedric Mullins and outfielder Anthony Santander have collaborated for 25 runs driven in in front of a friendly crowd.
That quintet has been the most important to Baltimore thus far and will look to produce in this one.
Mariners at Orioles Odds
MLB odds have the Mariners as the favorite to notch another win here. Seattle is -1.5 on the run line at +115, while the Orioles are -138 to cover the spread.
On the moneyline, the Mariners are -156 and Baltimore a +132 underdog. The total has been set at 8.5 runs, with the over being -115 and the under -105 at the time of this writing.
In terms of MLB betting trends, Seattle’s third baseman Ty France is one of the hottest hitters in the sport up until now. His .347 average is the sixth-highest in the league, while his 36 RBIs and.928 OPS also rate in the top 12.
France also leads the team with a .420 on-base percentage and 67 total hits. Eugenio Suarez has a team-high nine home runs.

Mariners at Orioles Betting Preview
Southpaw Robbie Ray will take the baseball for the Mariners, having posted a 4.75 ERA and 4-5 record so far. Against Oakland and Boston recently, he’s dropped his past two starts.
However, Ray has been durable, going at least five frames in each of his ten appearances in 2022. He went six in the tilts with the Athletics and Red Sox, allowing a combined dozen hits — three of which being homers — and seven earned runs.
He struck out ten challengers in the 4-2 defeat to the A’s — his second showing with as many punchouts this campaign.
Kyle Bradish, a righty, will seek to improve upon a sky-high 7.31 ERA against the M’s. He’s coming off of his shortest outing of the year, a 1.2-inning effort in which he gave up six hits and six earned runs.
The month of May wasn’t the kindest to him, as he conceded four runs or more in all but one of his five nods.
Mariners at Orioles Betting Predictions
The fact that Bradish has pitched so poorly makes this one of the simpler MLB picks today. If he struggles in the way that he did in the last month, things could get out of hand early in front of the home faithful.
The Orioles will hope to see something more like Bradish’s performance against St. Louis earlier this year. He went seven frames, allowing four hits and two across in that one.
Days like that, however, have shown to be the exception rather than the norm. Expect France and company to get the offense rolling and take the series before Thursday’s finale.
When betting on baseball today, take Seattle to cover against a lackluster arm.
