The Tuesday MLB schedule is loaded, as every team will be in action, including the Seattle Mariners and Chicago Cubs. In the early stages of their own seasons, it looks like these two MLB teams match up well.
As the regular season has begun and is in full force, these teams come into this matchup seeking a victory. The Mariners, who have plenty of talent, look to inch closer to .500 in the MLB standings, while the off-season buying Cubs look to continue to mesh and build off of the extra-inning, walk-off win over the Mariners last night.
The Mariners vs Cubs odds are now out for the second game of the three-game set in the Windy City.
Seattle Mariners vs. Chicago Cubs Odds
The Mariners vs Cubs odds have the Cubs at -110 on the moneyline, not setting a clear favorite quite yet. The over/under is set at 9.5, which is slightly above the average MLB game total of 8.5.
These odds don’t show a clear favorite for a reason, as these teams are pretty evenly matched.
While their record doesn’t look great, the Mariners schedule has not been friendly so far, with seven games vs the Guardians and three against the LA Angels before the Cubs series.
Additionally, the Cubs have played many tough games this season as well.

Seattle Mariners vs. Chicago Cubs Betting Preview
Seattle Mariners
The Mariners come into this game searching for a win. At 4-7 through the season’s first eleven games and 4th in the AL West MLB standings. This organization definitely can turn it around in the blink of an eye.
They will turn to young stud Julio Rodriguez, veteran and team-leader in batting average Eugenio Suarez, and slugger Ty France to get this team back on track.
The MLB player stats for the Mariners aren’t spectacular across the board. Outside of Eugenio Suarez’s batting average of .326 and Ty France’s batting average of .313, their numbers are fairly average.
The Mariners MLB injury report lists no stars, but they are still without RF Taylor Trammell and RP Andres Munoz, who is sidelined with a shoulder injury.
Chicago Cubs
Following the 3-2 win in the 10th inning last night, the Cubs look to continue that success tonight. Nico Hoerner played hero in last night’s triumph with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th. The Cubs currently sit at 5-4 on the year and in the middle of the pack in the NL Central standings.
Some Chicago Cubs players to watch tonight are Nico Hoerner, Dansby Swanson, and Ian Happ. These guys have all started the year batting .333 or better, and look to continue this success in tonight’s matchup.
Seattle Mariners vs. Chicago Cubs Betting Picks
Looking at the Mariners vs Cubs odds, neither side jumps out to bet on. However, I will be rolling with the over 9.5 runs, which is one of my favorite MLB picks of the day.
The projected starters, Chris Flexen for the Mariners and Hayden Wesneski for the Cubs, should be no match for the firepower in each of these teams’ lineups.
Expect runs to come in bunches in the Windy City tonight, as this should be one of the highest-scoring MLB games of the day.
