Who Will Be the 2023 MLB World Series Winner?

It’s been a terrific 2023 MLB Playoffs up to this point, and that is something that should continue throughout the next few weeks as well. There are four teams that still have a shot to win the World Series, and the betting odds have been updated because of that.

The ALCS features a pair of teams from Texas as the Texas Rangers are taking on the Houston Astros. The NL matchup is a battle of two surprising teams as the Arizona Diamondbacks are battling the Philadelphia Phillies.

Here is a look at the four teams that are left standing and a prediction on which team will be the MLB World Series winner.

Rangers Rolling Over Astros

The Texas Rangers now have the best MLB World Series odds, as they are the favorites to win the title at +115. That wasn’t the case when the ALCS began, as it was the Astros that were supposed to win this series and go on and win the title.

It’s going to be hard for the Astros to be the MLB World Series winner this year, as they are currently in a 0-2 hole in the ALCS. Texas just went into Houston and came up with two big wins to begin the ALCS, and they can get to the World Series with just two more wins.

Houston does have a history of coming up with big wins in the postseason, and it’s not going to be easy to eliminate them for Texas. These two teams have a terrific rivalry as well, and that will only make the Astros more desperate to get back into this series.

Phillies Pounding the Baseball

The Philadelphia Phillies were nearly World Series MLB winners a year ago, but they ultimately fell a bit short against the Houston Astros. Philadelphia is now just three wins away from returning to the Fall Classic, and they are a team that no one wants to deal with.

The Phillies started off the NLCS by getting a home run on the first pitch from Kyle Schwarber, and they hit four home runs in the game. Philadelphia not only has home-field advantage, but they already beat the best pitcher on the Diamondbacks team.

There weren’t many people making MLB World Series predictions and betting on the Arizona Diamondbacks when the playoffs began, but they have been on a great run. Arizona is a young and scrappy team, but it’s going to take more than that to get past the Phillies.

You can’t count Arizona out after just one game, but things aren’t looking good for the young Diamondbacks.

Time For Phillies to Shine

Even though there are still four teams that can be the MLB World Series winner this year, you are really going to want to focus on the Texas Rangers and the Philadelphia Phillies. Texas has a deep lineup and plenty of pitching, and Philadelphia is a team with recent World Series experience.

While Texas is the betting favorite to win the World Series at +115, it’s not like the Phillies are that far behind. Philadelphia has betting odds set at +145, and they might actually pass up Texas if they are able to win the NLCS.

The Rangers have yet to lose a game so far in the postseason, but they have been streaky like that all season long. Texas can also go on a long losing streak, and that’s something to keep in mind as the postseason continues on.

Philadelphia has a rocking crowd behind them at home, and that offense is simply too powerful. The Phillies are going to win the World Series this year, and taking them at +145 is the best bet to make at this time.
