F1 Lenovo British Grand Prix 2022 Betting Picks and Predictions
The 2022 Lenovo British Grand Prix takes place this weekend at Silverstone Circuit in England. This running of the race should be a great one, as last year’s race was highlighted by intense battles and a scary crash for Max Verstappen. Right now, the F1 odds have Verstappen as the favorite to win the 2022 British Grand Prix at -110.
Charles Leclerc is a slight underdog at +225 in this race. Hometown heroes like Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and George Russell are all +1100 or greater at their home track.
Lenovo British Betting Picks
Lando Norris Top Ten Finish (-250)
Lando Norris and Mclaren have had a weird year. Despite some great results, the team sits only eight points ahead of sixth-place Alpine. Norris has placed in the top ten in six of his last eight races, and I expect him to do it again in Britain.
Verstappen to win (-110)
Max Verstappen is the current favorite to win the race as he’s dominated the season so far. Max has won five of six races and looks to win his first-ever British GP this weekend.
Russell Top Six Finish (-275)
George Russell’s first season at Mercedes has been overshadowed by mediocre team results. The British driver has finished in the top five in every single race this year, a trend I see continuing this weekend.
Lenovo British Betting Trends
Fernando Alonso Top Ten: Alonso has four straight top-ten finishes and has held his own in his Alpine this year. I see Fernando Alonso bringing home another hard-fought top ten finish at Silverstone.
Red Bull wins: Red Bull as a team has won six straight races this year, and Max Verstappen has won six of the last eight races. No reason to expect anything different this weekend. Whether it’s Checo Perez or Max, a Red Bull driver is likely to win this weekend.
Lando Norris Top Ten: Norris has finished in the top ten in six of the seven races he’s finished this year. Assuming he can make it to the end of his home Grand Prix, I expect him to place top ten again this weekend.
George Russel Top Six: George Russell has the most consistent trend of any driver; He hasn’t missed a top-five finish all season. I don’t think that will change this weekend at Silverstone, which is Russell’s home race as a Brit.
Lewis Hamilton Top Ten: Lewis Hamilton has been decidedly better the past few races and has placed top ten in every race but one this season. I feel he’ll continue that streak at his home race. Besides, Lewis has won eight races at this track and knows how to handle it with ease.
Lenovo British Betting Prediction
The F1 betting odds have Max Verstappen as the favorite to win this race at -110, and the only reason he isn’t a bigger favorite is due to the fact that he’s never won this race before. Verstappen is searching for his first-ever British GP win, while Lewis Hamilton is fighting for his ninth win at Silverstone in an F1 car.
Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari need a win very badly. After winning two of the first three races of the season, Ferrari has fallen off significantly. In the last four races this year, Red Bull has 153 points to Ferrari’s 72, a testament to just how dominant Red Bull looks right now.
I fully expect Verstappen to come out and dominate this race from start to finish. Last year Max had a great sprint race but lost out to Lewis after a crash sent Verstappen spinning into the wall at speeds of 200+ km/h. This year I feel he will avenge his tough loss and come home with the victory at Silverstone.
We should be in for another exciting race, but it is hard to look past Max Verstappen here. Bet on Super Max to deliver!
Betting Prediction: Max Verstappen to win -110
