Pick Analysis
Formula 1 returns to North America for the second time this season, heading to Canada for the AWS Grand Prix du Canada at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec. The race will have a much different feel than the Monaco Grand Prix, where passing was nearly impossible. That’s good news for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, the F1 season points leader. He was stuck in sixth place at the start in Monaco and that’s where he finished.
The Canadian Grand Prix 2024 preview notes Canada has been good to Verstappen in the past. He won the last two F1 races held at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and looms as the driver to beat this year. That’s reflected in the F1 odds for the race, but Verstappen is a big favorite for a reason.
He has shown a tendency to bounce back after a disappointing finish and has seen his points lead shrink to 31. Verstappen is likely to shake off the disappointment of Monaco with a big effort in Canada.

Canadian Grand Prix Betting Analysis
The Canadian Grand Prix 2024 preview is looking forward to a much more exciting race than was seen at Monaco. With a long straight and some high-speed corners, the track is designed to deliver action-packed racing. This is typically one of the more exciting races on the GP F1 schedule.
In terms of sheer racing, there isn’t anybody better right now than Verstappen and Red Bull. The car is running strong and Verstappen is making the right decisions. With a clean run, Verstappen should be able to take the checkered flag.
The real excitement should be the battles for the other two podium spots. Charles Leclerc is second in the points and is coming off the victory at Monaco, making him a logical contender. Lando Norris is driving well, as is Oscar Piastri.
Carlos Sainz has had several big races this season and Sergio Perez can relax and focus on racing now that he signed a contract extension with Red Bull. He is the perfect No. 2 driver for the team and has a great relationship with Verstappen, which likely played a part in his new contract.
Verstappen said it was “great news” Red Bull resigned Perez and a happy Verstappen is a beast on the track. The F1 predictions this weekend are going to be on Verstappen racing to victory.
