For the first two seasons of Formula E’s existence, in 2014-2016, the London E-Prix was an important staple of the season.
But starting in 2016/17, the London race came off the calendar and did not return until last season. And thank God it did.

Formula E races are ever held.
There were many crashes, quite a few lead changes, drive-through penalties, and a first-time E-Prix winner.

2022 London E-Prix Drivers Betting Analysis
Mitch Evans
Mitch Evans has been bouncing back this season. After scoring only one point in his first three races this year, he has since finished six of nine races on the podium, an incredible feat.
I believe Evans will podium again this weekend in London. The formula E odds have Evans as a +400 underdog to win the race this weekend.
Stoffel Vandoorne
Stoffel Vandoorne is a dominant and skilled driver who fell out of last year’s London race due to crashes and debris falling off his car.
Vandoorne has finished in the top five in eight of his last nine races, and I expect him to do it again to maintain his Championship lead this weekend.
Nyck de Vries Top Five Finish
Nyck de Vries had a really rough race in New York, making mistakes that could’ve been avoided. This weekend in London, I expect him to cover his mistakes and drive more controlled, which should help him to a top-five finish.
London E-Prix Betting Trends
Here are some of the recent trends going on in Formula E to help you make better picks. I’ll give you information on drivers, their records, and how they’ve been performing this season so far in order to help you determine the race winner more accurately. Robin Frijns
Frijns has struggled lately and has only finished on the podium once in his last seven races. Despite being a great driver, Frijns has struggled on the track this year.
Despite having two seconds and two third-place finishes so far this season, I would avoid betting on Frijns to win races this year. He has been too inconsistent to rely on from a betting perspective.
Antonio Felix da Costa
da Costa won the Formula E championship just two years ago, but this season has struggled. Apart from finishing first and second in two of the last three races, da Costa has no other victories or podiums this year.
Although he is up in the top ten of the standings, I would not be putting money on Da Costa to win any races this year.
Jean-Eric Vergne
Vergne is a great driver who currently sits in 4th place, only 27 points back of the Championship lead. Vergne did not finish one of the New York races and finished out of the points in the other.
Besides those two races, however, Vergne has not finished outside of the points in any other race this year.
I would count on Vergne having a bounce-back race in London, but the Formula E odds disagree as Vergne is a heavy underdog to do anything in this race.
Mitch Evans
Mitch Evans has been extremely impressive this season, challenging some of the best drivers in the world with his aggressive and skilled overtaking.
He’s shown what he can do the past two seasons by being in the top four in the championship all year for both seasons. I believe Mitch Evans is next year’s Formula E champion.
Stoffel Vandoorne
Stoffel Vandoorne is considered to be a bit of a prodigy at Mercedes. He raced briefly in Formula 1 but was limited by the quality of the Mclaren he was driving and eventually moved to Mercedes as a reserve driver.
He may be back in Formula one eventually, but for now, he is dominating Formula E. Vandoorne sits in the Championship lead by 11 points with just four races to go in the season and is my 2022 London E Prix betting pick.
London E-Prix Betting Pick
My 2022 London E-Prix Betting Pick is Stoffel Vandoorne. He sits atop the standings in the first place yet hasn’t won a race since Round 6 this year (London will be rounds 13 and 14).
Vandoorne needs an outright victory to maintain his lead, and he’s considered to be a prodigy at Mercedes. I expect Vandoorne to win in London.
