Gran Premio San Marino Race Preview
Currently heading into the 14th of 20 races this year, Fabio Quartararo sits in first place in the championship standings.
He sits 32 points ahead of challenger Aleix Espargo, who has consistently performed this year. Espargo has avoided crashing out of any race this year, which has secured him the second position for now.
Close behind Espargo sits Francesco Bagnaia, last year’s runner-up in the championship. Bagnaia has been strong all season but needs to avoid any crashes if he hopes to challenge for the title this year.
He has the most wins of any driver this season with five, but has also crashed out of four races this season. Bagnaia is currently a +300 underdog according to motogp odds.
Gran Premio San Marino Riviera di Rimini Betting Pick Betting Picks
The Motogp season has been exciting, intense, and tightly wound so far. With only seven races remaining in the season, there is a lot to analyze and prepare for when looking at these races. Make sure to read below for all of the best Motogp betting picks!
Fabio Quartararo to Win
Quartararo has dropped three straight races to Bagnaia and needs to improve this weekend if he wants to hold on to his championship lead.
I believe Fabio will turn up the heat this weekend and have a phenomenal performance. Quartararo has been the most consistent of my motogp picks this season.
Francesco Bagnaia to Podium
Bagnaia has won three races in a row and has looked absolutely dominant over that span. However, I don’t expect him to keep winning every race until the end of the season.
Bagnaia will slow down, and there’s a good chance he’ll actually crash out of at least one more race this year. I feel he’ll show up this weekend but lose out to Quartararo, both finishing on the podium.
For the odds that Bagnaia is listed at (+300) he is great motorsports pick for betting.
Johann Zarco to Podium
Zarco is a great rider who sits in fourth place in the standings right now. I believe he is going to have a monster race this weekend and finish on the podium, maybe even in second place.
Zarco is a French driver who has been racing with Motogp for 13 years and has the experience to race well this weekend.
Moto GP Race Betting Trends
- Francesco Bagnaia has won three consecutive races, a trend that is undoubtedly impressive. No other driver has produced three such results in a row this season. If he can make it four in a row, Bagnaia will be in unprecedented company.
- Fabio Quartararo has four podiums in six races. This is very impressive in Motogp, but Quartararo will have to hold off Bagnaia this weekend to maintain his impressive lead.
- Aleix Espargo has not finished on the podium in five races. I expect that trend to continue and believe he will finish outside of the top six at the Gran Premio San Marino and Riviera di Rimini.
- Jack Miller has three podium finishes in his last four races. Miller has bounced back after a mediocre start to the season, and this trend is one that is extremely valuable if you can find Miller to podium odds.
- Maverick Vinales is 11th in the championship standings but recently has been trending upwards. His incredible driving has put him on the podium twice in the last three races, one of the less likely trends we’ve seen this season.
Gran Premio San Marino Riviera di Rimini Betting Pick and Prediction
The Gran Premio San Marino and Riviera di Rimini appears like it’s going to be one of the most exciting races of the entire motogp season.
Championship leader Fabio Quartararo is holding on to his championship lead by a thread as Francesco Bagnaia starts to come back and challenge for the title.
Bagnaia Threathing Quartararo’s Championship
Bagnaia has won three straight races and really threatens Quartararo’s championship hopes if he lands on the podium this weekend.
That being said, Bagnaia is known to crash a lot, and if he lets it slip this weekend he could be letting his hopes at a championship slip away.
This race should also slightly favor Bagnaia as he is an Italian driver racing in Italy. He should be pretty passionate and excited about racing at this track, and I expect him to show up in full force and race well.
Quartararo Needs to Show Why He Is the Champion
That being said, I still expect Fabio Quartararo to return to form and show us why he is the championship leader. I expect it to be a start-to-finish victory for Fabio Quartararo.
The Frenchman, and I believe he will extend his lead in the standings this weekend after winning the Gran Premio San Marino and Riviera di RImini.
