Pick Analysis
The Ally 400 is a fairly new race on the NASCAR schedule, having its debut in 2021. It’s a 399-mile race over the 1.330-mile track. The track opened in 2001 and is actually in Lebanon, Tenn., which is a little more than 30 miles to Nashville. The first three NASCAR races of the Ally 400 have seen different winners. The first winner, Kyle Larson, is the +400 favorite entering this year’s race. He’ll be a contender for the title, but the odds aren’t quite as high as you’d like to see for your NASCAR Cup Series picks.
Ross Chastain won the event last year and will likely give another good effort on Sunday, although at +700, the odds are a little bit short. It’s tough to use him in your NASCAR Cup Series picks at that price. That brings us to the other previous winner of this race, Chase Elliott. His run in 2021 was hampered by a loose lugnut, which resulted in a disqualification. He had an average 7.7 running position and still managed to cross the finish line in 13th place. He won the race in 2022, leading the final 38 laps, and was a solid fourth last year.
The NASCAR Cup Series betting odds on Elliott are a decent +750, which isn’t bad considering he’s run well all three years at Nashville.

Ally 400 Betting Analysis
The three previous winners of this race have all driven Chevrolets, so it makes sense to look for a Chevy driver in this one. That eliminates a few of the contenders but still leaves several drivers. Larson is the favorite and he deserves it. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the best driver to wager on for your NASCAR today predictions. You also have to factor in the price and Larson falls short there.
Elliott is driving well this season, although he has just one victory compared to three for several other drivers. This race gives him a chance to make up some ground in the wins column, as it’s a track he’s enjoyed success at and has shown he can win over.
Ally 400 Previous Winners and Betting Trends
Larson was the +500 co-favorite when he won the race in 2021, while Elliott was the +800 fourth-betting choice when he won in 2022. Larson was again the favorite. Chastain was tied for No. 2 in the betting odds at +700. Elliott was the favorite last season when Chastain won at odds of +1000.
While Chevrolet has been the winning manufacturer in all three races, Toyota drivers finished second and third last year and second in 2022. Chevrolet drivers claimed the top three spots in 2021. Chevrolet is +120 to have the winning car this year, with Toyota a close second at +140.
Ally 400 Betting Picks
Bet on Chase Elliott at +750 to win the Ally 400. Elliott checks almost all of the boxes you like to see for your NASCAR Cup Series picks and he does so at pretty favorable odds. He matches Larson when it comes to previous success at Nashville Superspeedway. And he does so at nearly twice the odds. Elliott is a good wager in terms of getting the best value for your pick.
