The four drivers atop the Xfinity Series standings started on the front two rows at Homestead-Miami. While Cole Custer started in pole position and won stage one. Eventually finished 13th, Kaulig Racing’s Sam Mayer held off Riley Herbst to win at Homestead and secure a spot in the Championship Four.

Ready, Set, Go! NASCAR Xfinity Series: Dead on Tools 250 Betting Preview
Sam Mayer
JR Motorsports’ Sam Mayer’s recent playoff performances have him locked into the Championship Four and among the likely top-five finishers this weekend despite finishing 31st in the Spring Martinsville race.
Mayer has won two of the previous three races and has three consecutive top-five finishes, marking his best stretch of performances since having had two race wins and five consecutive top-five finishes from Pocono to Watkins Glen.
Riley Herbst
While he never made the Xfinity Series playoffs, Riley Herbst’s recent performances have landed him among the favorites in Martinsville’s NASCAR odds. Herbst is having his best run of form since the opening six races of the season, finishing in the top five in the last three races and the top two in the previous two.
However, if history tells us anything, these streaks could end at Martinsville, where Herbst finished 30th in the Spring Race.

Cole Custer
Stewart-Haas’ Cole Custer is in a three-car race for the final two playoff spots. Currently tied with Austin Hill with 3113 points and a three-point lead over Justin Allgaier in fifth. Custer needs a better finish than Homestead-Miami to secure a spot in the Championship Four.
Custer finished third in the Spring Martinsville race and has three stage wins, three top-five, and four top-six finishes since the playoffs began. He’ll need to tap into this form to keep his spot in the Championship Four.
John H. Nemechek
Taking a look at Joe Gibbs Racing’s John H. Nemechek’s season, it’s obvious why he’s featured heavily in Insiders Betting Digest’s NASCAR Xfinity Series picks. Nemechek has seven wins, 15 top-three, and 17 top-five finishes this season. Including two wins and six top-three finishes in the last seven races.
Nemechek will finish in the top five and be in contention for a second win at Martinsville in 2023 on his way to the Championship Four in Phoenix.
