The NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs move to Martinsville, Virginia, this weekend for the 2022 Dead On Tools 250. It’s the 32nd race of the season, scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 3:00 pm Eastern time.
Drivers will complete 250 laps on the 0.526-mile oval to complete the 157.8-mile (254 km) race. The fall race at Martinsville was not held between 1995 and 2019 but returned in 2020.
Noah Gragson is the defending champion at the event, which was extended in 2021 due to NASCAR overtime.
Gragson also took the checkered flag at last weekend’s Contender Boats 300, finishing ahead of Ty Gibbs and A.J. Allmendinger.
He punched his ticket to the Championship 4 with the victory. He joined JR Motorsports teammate Josh Berry as a qualifier at Phoenix, with the two final positions to be decided at this weekend’s event.
Dead On Tools 250 Betting Picks and Analysis
Noah Gragson
Gragson has all the momentum heading into this week’s event and leads all drivers with eight wins after his first-place finish at Homestead in last weekend’s race.
He also won both stages, giving him 16 on the season, which is more than double the total of any other driver.
Gragson dominated by leading 127 of the 200 laps and, at one point, had more than a nine-second lead.
He’s also the defending champion at the Martinsville fall event and is one of the Dead On Tools 250 betting picks to get another win here on Saturday.
Ty Gibbs
Ty Gibbs finished second at last weekend’s Contender Boats 300 and is third in the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff standings.
He was one of the seven race leaders and would have been a Gragson runaway if it weren’t for a late-race yellow on Lap 187.
Gibbs has top-five finishes in three straight races and was top-ten in eight of the last nine events. He took the pole at the spring event at Martinsville and finished eighth overall.
Gibbs is again one of the Dead On Tools 250 picks to win on Saturday and qualify for the Championship 4 in Phoenix.
A.J. Allmendinger
Allmendinger moved back up to fourth in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff standings after his third-place finish last weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
He has top-ten finishes in 12 of the last 13 races. He also has nine top-fives in that span and three victories, making him the most consistent overall driver this season.
Allmendinger finished third at Martinsville Speedway in the spring event and only has four finishes outside the top ten this season.
He is one of the Dead On Tools 250 betting picks to get his third win in the previous five events.

Dead On Tools 250 Betting Pick and Prediction
Dead On Tools 250 NASCAR odds are in favor of Noah Gragson getting his second straight win for JR Motorsports at this event.
He continues to be one of the best overall drivers in the series. After his win at Homestead-Miami Speedway last weekend, he has led for 952 laps this season.
Who to Bet On?
Gragson has won five of his last eight starts, finishing on the podium in seven of those races. He also finished 20th in the spring event here at Martinsville but has been the most dominant driver in the playoffs.
He’s one of the top Dead On Tools 250 NASCAR picks to win his second straight race on the Xfinity Series before the Championship 4 showdown at Phoenix.
