NASCAR Xfinity LS Tractor 200 Stats and Trends

2022 NASCAR Xfinity LS Tractor 200

This weekend, the NASCAR Xfinity travels to the one-mile oval, Phoenix Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona, for the 2022 LS Tractor 200 on Saturday, March 12. The Phoenix track will host the first of the two races this season, with the second being the championship race.

With the NASCAR betting odds already out and everything ready for the green flag to drop, let’s get into our free NASCAR Xfinity Series betting preview. This article looks over the drivers and provides you with all the sport betting information you’ll need to make smart picks for this weekend’s race.

LS Tractor 200 Stats

Justin Allgaier Favoured To Win

Priced as low as +400, Justin Allgaier heads to Phoenix as the top NASCAR betting favorite to claim his first victory of the season. The 35-year old has gotten off to a solid start to the 2022 season and was in the mix to win all of the opening three races.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t deliver, but with a fifth-place finish at Daytona, an eight-place in California, and another top-five in Las Vegas, Allgaier has shown enough to be considered a threat in Phoenix. Moreover, he usually does well in Phoenix.

Although it is fair to say that there are many tracks on the Xfinity circuit where Allgaier performs well, none can compare to the Phoenix Raceway. Of course, you won’t be able to tell that looking solely at his placements in Phoenix, but there’s more to the driver’s performance than just his finish – even though he has three straight top-10s here.

Not only has he won the 2017 Phoenix race and then added another in the fall of 2019, but he also led 50 laps or more in six of his last 10 starts here. That includes 51 and 76 laps across the two 2020 races and 32 laps in the 2021 fall race.

Daniel Hemric Can Be A Threat

Daniel Hemric got off to a quiet yet awe-inspiring start to the 2022 season. He placed 12th at Daytona, ninth on Auto Club Speedway, and finished third last weekend in Las Vegas. He also led in laps in the first two races, so even though he did not reach top-5, he has shown enough to earn our respect.

Interestingly, he did not lead a single lap in Las Vegas last weekend, yet he still claimed his best placement of the season so far. Now, he is set to return to the track where he has claimed the only NASCAR victory of his career.

In last year’s Championship 4, Hemric found himself in a tight battle with Austin Cinric in Phoenix, and the championship race came down to a two-lap spring, from which Hemric emerged as a winner after he edged in front of Cinder on the last corner, thus earned the Xfinity crown.

Admittedly, Hemric has won only one race here, but he has led in laps in all of his last three trips to Phoenix. The betting odds show Hemric as one of the outsiders, priced as high as +900, which may seem fair, but he has proven before that he can deliver in Phoenix.

Betting Trends for LS Tractor 200

  • Austin Cindric is the most successful driver in Phoenix, with two wins to his name
  • John Hunter Nemechek has the best average finish (6.33) of all attending drivers, with at least three starts in Phoenix
  • Justin Allgaier has led the second-most laps in Phoenix (244), behind only Cindric (326)

Who to Bet At LS Tractor 200

Top sportsbooks have Justin Allgaier priced as the main NASCAR odds favorite to win the 2022 LS Tractor 200, which is fair. Even though he has yet to win this season, he has achieved a lot across the opening three races and was in the mix to win each of them.

Most notably, he also holds a very strong record in Phoenix, which is likely his favorite track on the schedule, and a track where he has consistently done well. With 244 laps led across six starts, Allgaier has led only 82 laps less than the all-time leader Cindric but is still 52 laps clear of Kyle Busch (194 in third).

Moreover, Allgaier has an average finish of 8.33 in Phoenix with one win, two top-5s, and four top-10s, meaning he has missed top-10 only twice in his career.

The second driver we’re choosing as part of our NASCAR picks is Daniel Hemric. Like Allgaier, he has performed well across the first three races of the season and has solid numbers in Phoenix. Admittedly, his average finish (19.75) isn’t great, but Hemric won here last year, so there is no reason to believe he can’t do it again this weekend.

Prediction: Justin Allgaier to win

Prediction: Daniel Hemric to win
