NASCAR Rackley Roofing 200 Betting Picks and Predictions

The 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series continues on Friday, June 24, at the Nashville Superspeedway, with Rackley Roofing 200. It will mark the 14th race of the NASCAR 2022 schedule and the third-to-last race of the regular season.

The 2022 Rackley Roofing 200 will also mark only the second time that the race will be held since 2011, having been moved from the schedule between 2012-2020 and has not returned until 2021, when Ryan Preece led his Ford to the victory lane.

So the question remains: which NASCAR Truck Series driver will celebrate a victory on Friday, and who is the best NASCAR betting pick? We will answer that and more in our betting preview!

Rackley Roofing 200 Betting Picks

Grant Enfinger

Last year’s Rackley Roofing 200 was won by Ryan Preece, but since he is not attending this year’s event, nor is the 2021 runner-up, Todd Gilliland, we have to turn our attention to Grant Enfinger. The 37-year-old finished the 2021 Rackley Roofing 200 in third place, making him the most successful driver on the track that will attend this week’s race.

Enfinger started last year’s race in fourth place, kept his spot through Stage 1, fell to ninth in Stage 2, but fought his way up to a podium finish. Even more impressive is that Enfinger led 39 laps on the day, which was second-most, behind only Chandler Smith (48) and Ryan Preece (8).

Given his past success, it makes sense for us to consider Enfinger as one of the candidates to win this week, and at the offered NASCAR odds, he is definitely an appealing pick. Moreover, Enfinger has been driving well this season, with seven top-10s and three podiums from Darlington, Kansas, and Concord.

Zane Smith

The current no.2 on the NASCAR World Truck Series ladder, Zane Smith, is definitely one to watch ahead of Rackley Roofing 200. There is a perfect reason why he is one of the leading candidates to win the championship – consistency.

Smith has already won three races this season and has landed inside the top-10 in all but two – DQ in Las Vegas and 32nd in Texas. Of those 11 top-10s, Smith has finished inside the top five in seven, which is extremely impressive. But there’s more to like about Smith for this race.

He placed fourth in this race last year despite starting in ninth. He drove his Chevrolet to seventh by the end of Stage 1, was second by the end of Stage 2, but dropped below Enfinger, Gilliard, and Preece by the end of Stage 3.

But despite failing to win last year’s race and not leading a single lap, Smith has shown that he can race in Nashville and give his superb form this year; it’s hard to doubt his chances on Friday. Is he the best NASCAR betting picks we can make for the upcoming race? Perhaps, but there is one more driver we need to talk about.

John Hunter Nemechek

Zane Smith has been having a very impressive season so far, but not as impressive as John Hunter Nemechek. The current Truck Series leader sits atop the standings with 481 points, despite winning only one race, which tells a lot.

Moreover, he started the season with 24th, 25th, and a 24th-place finish, and yet Hunter Nemechek is still ahead of his competitors. That, however, is not surprising if we consider that he has finished outside of top-8 only once (35th in Madison) since Atlanta, with six top-5s.

He also placed second in Knoxville last weekend, so clearly, Hunter Nemechek is in good form ahead of the Nashville race. He had raced here once before, in 2021, when Hunter Nemechek placed 10th, which doesn’t look too impressive until we consider that he started the race in 34th place.

So even though he did not win, nor did he lead a single lap, Hunter Nemechek has gained 24 spots by the end of the race, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Rackley Roofing 200 Betting Trends

  • There was just one Rackley Roofing 200 race since 2012, so most of the stats we have are outdated or irrelevant. Still, there are a few trends and stats we have to mention.
  • Out of all manufacturers, Toyota has won the most races (4), albeit not once since 2010
  • Chevrolet and Ford are tied at three wins apiece in 2020, 2009, 2011, and 2003, 2007, and 2021 respectively.
  • Grant Enfinger has the best average driver rating on the Nashville track, followed by Ryan Preece and Zane Smith.
  • Nashville Superspeedway is a unique track that shares little to no similarities to other tracks used in NASCAR Truck Series.

Rackley Roofing 200 Betting Pick And Prediction

There are a few excellent candidates to win the 2022 Rackley Roofing 200, but it really comes down to three names: John Hunter Nemechek, Zane Smith, and Grant Enfinger.

All three have achieved solid results here in 2021 and are in solid form ahead of the race. Admittedly, Enfinger has not shown as much as Smith and Hunter Nemechek this season, but unlike the current Truck Series leaders, he has placed inside the top three last year.

Unfortunately, that isn’t enough for us to consider Enfinger as a serious candidate to win. He is still an appealing selection for a top-5 finish, but we wouldn’t expect him to lock in his first W of the season this week.

Instead, we’re siding with Hunter Nemechek as the most appealing selection of the available NASCAR picks for this week. He is in superb form and has impressed on the track last year. He did not come close to winning, but he gained 24 spots, and that’s enough for us to have faith in him for the 2022 Rackley Roofing 200.

Prediction: John Hunter Nemechek to win
