[JUNE 7, 2022] On July 9 at 5:00 p.m., the NASCAR Xfinity Series will return to Atlanta Motor Speedway for one of the season’s most difficult challenges as the 2022 Nascar schedule continues. Observe as competitors vying for notoriety sprint door-to-door and are on the verge of control as they attempt to reach Victory Lane.
Unless the entry list changes, all 38 teams will qualify and compete on the new 1.5-mile oval, as they are all listed on the entry list.
Caesar Bacarella has also come back. He will drive the No 45 Chevrolet for Alpha Prime Racing. Sage Karam is driving the No 45. He is now driving the team’s No 44.
David Starr’s No. 8 Ford returns to the Xfinity field.
Ryan Truex is back for another Xfinity race with Joe Gibbs Racing. He will drive the No. 18 vehicle this time.
Jeffrey Earnhardt is back in the No. 26 Toyota for Sam Hunt Racing.
Matt Mills is back in the No. 5 car for BJ McLeod Motorsports, and Ryan Vargas is back in the No. 6 car for JD Motorsports. After driving the No. 5 for SS-Green Light Racing at Road America, Joe Graf Jr. returns to the No. 07 for the team.
Joey Gase returns his Chevrolet No. 35 to Emerling Gase Motorsports. Kyle Sieg will drive the family-owned No. 38 Ford for RSS Racing.
Brennan Poole will debut with Mike Harmon Racing in the No. 47 Chevrolet. Mason Massey is back in the number 91 DGM Racing vehicle. Natalie Decker will drive the No. 13 MBM Toyota in the race on Saturday.
Alsco Uniforms 250 Betting Picks
Landon Cassill
Landon Cassill’s performance has improved after joining Kaulig Racing. Cassill has achieved a record number of top-five and top-ten results as we near the midway point. As the final driver in the playoffs, he must exercise caution.
Cassill has finished 15th in the previous four races, but Nascar odds show he still has a chance to do well in Atlanta. He had a poor result at Daytona but made up for it at Atlanta and Talladega.
Kaulig Racing has produced the best superspeedway competition. Even though Justin Haley now competes in the Cup Series, he has won four of 12 races on superspeedways. We discussed A.J. Allmendinger and the narrow escapes he had.
Last year at Talladega, Jeb Burton won his first-ever race for Kaulig Racing. The odds for the Alsco Uniforms 250 indicate that Cassill’s victory would not be unexpected.
He typically runs in the 10–11 zone at Daytona, Atlanta, and Talladega. He has performed better than that by achieving two top-five finishes.
It is prudent to choose Cassill to win his first game. A driver with odds of (+1600) could do significantly worse than our free Alsco Uniforms 250 picks.
Austin Hill
Austin Hill is adjusting to his first season of full-time competition in the Xfinity Series. Hill has placed in the top ten in his past six races, including three top-five finishes. This bodes well for him in Atlanta.
Hill won the 2022 Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway. This was the season’s inaugural race. I never thought of Hill as a superspeedway driver in the Truck Series, but he has been the greatest in the Xfinity Series.
At Daytona and Atlanta, he placed first and second, respectively. Hill was involved in a crash at Talladega, resulting in a poor finish. I cannot recall ever having seen Hill with odds of +1000. Now I understand why his odds were +750 in the Alsco Uniforms 250.
Hill has placed in the top three in each of his three superspeedway races. He did not win in Talladega but at Daytona and Atlanta. He desires to regain the lead at Atlanta after losing it in the final two laps.
Hill is one of our picks for the Saturday NASCAR race.
A.J. Allmendinger
On the road course at Road America, A.J. Allmendinger did not perform as well as he often does, but he still finished near the front. A penalty on pit road caused him to fall to the rear of the pack. He regained his footing and finished sixth.
Allmendinger is among our top Nascar picks for superspeedway events and is the obvious choice for road courses. It is hard to believe that Allmendinger has never won at Daytona or Talladega, given how close he has been. Allmendinger came close to winning the opening race of the 2022 season, but the race was stopped due to a safety car.
He was in the thick of things in Atlanta and Talladega, but he could not win. Allmendinger has placed in the top four in all three races he has competed in. Is there any doubt that he should be included in our Alsco Uniforms 250?
He has been the most trustworthy individual in 2022. We are currently searching for a truly outstanding oval performance. Allmendinger led at least 18 circuits at Daytona and Atlanta.
It would not be his first victory, but it would be his first on a passing track. Can he ultimately reach his desired destination?
Alsco Uniforms 250 Betting Trends
Even though Ty Gibbs won again at Road America, the Playoff standings and the Nascar betting odds have not moved significantly. There are still five points up for grabs this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where the NASCAR Xfinity Series will compete.
Seven drivers, including Ty Gibbs, AJ Allmendinger, Justin Allgaier, Noah Gragson, Josh Berry, Brandon Jones, and Austin Hill, have won their way into the Xfinity Series Playoffs.
Riley Herbst, Sam Mayer Hemric, Daniel Ryan Sieg, and Landon Cassill are now above the playoff cutoff and hold the final two playoff berths based on point totals.
Anthony Alfredo’s 72-point deficit to Cassill for the twelfth and last transfer position in the Playoffs places him considerably beyond the Playoff threshold.
When competing in front of family and friends in your hometown, you always feel like you have an advantage. This opportunity will be available to Ryan and Kyle Sieg, Brandon Jones, and Austin Hill this weekend.
If one of the three Georgia-born drivers wins this weekend, they will become the first Georgia-born driver to win a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Brandon Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, is already in the Playoffs due to his victory at Martinsville, three top-five finishes, and seven top-ten finishes. He will return to Atlanta, where he placed sixth earlier in the season.
In eight races at his home track, Jones has once finished in the top five, three times in the top ten, and completed 1,235 of the 1,314 laps.
Austin Hill of Winston, Georgia, will attempt to win for the second time in his career at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where he finished second earlier this season. Hill has been the 2022 season’s top rookie driver. In February, he won the first race of the season at Daytona.
Alsco Uniforms 250 Betting Prediction
This weekend, NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers will have a second opportunity to race on the altered 1.54-mile track at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
In 2013, Tyler Reddick won the NASCAR Cup Series. This weekend, he will compete in the Atlanta Motor Speedway NASCAR Xfinity Series event driving the No. 48 Big Machine Racing Chevrolet.
Sunday, he will drive the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing car continuously. Reddick has had one top-five finish in two Xfinity Series races at Atlanta.
On Sunday, Noah Gragson will pilot the No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He will also operate the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
Atlanta has hosted five Xfinity starts for Gragson. He has finished in the top five three times and in the top 10 four times.
We predict Reddick’s foot will be on the gas pedal appropriately and could probably bag this one.
