The slumping Golden State Warriors will be at home at the Chase Center Friday night and will welcome in the New York Knicks for a 10 p.m EST tip-off. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
We’ll take a closer look at this one before making our Knicks vs Warriors best bets.
Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks
The Warriors are winners of three of their last five outings, but they sit at 6-9 this far into the schedule. They slogged through a five-game losing streak in the five games prior to that — dropping NBA matchups against:
- Charlotte
- Detroit
- Miami
- Orlando
- New Orleans
NBA Schedule
On the NBA schedule. Each of those tilts were on the road. Golden State has yet to win a game away from the Bay Area this season.
The Knicks have won four of six and are sitting at 8-7 as they enter this matchup. Since last Friday, they’ve downed Detroit, Utah, and Denver.
Their only loss this week came in an effort where they put up 135 points in a loss to Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Warriors’ Last Game Record
Stephen Curry poured in 50 points in a futile effort against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night. The Warriors lost, 130-119.
For the host Suns, Cameron Payne bucketed a career-high 29 points and Devin Booker added another 27. All five of Phoenix’s starters reached double digits in the points category.
Curry went 17-of-28 from the field and 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. He was averaging around 31 points per game going into that one, but hit that mark with a free throw near the end of the second frame.
He passed Mitch Richmond for 49th on the NBA career scoring list.
After the game, coach Steve Kerr likened his team’s unity on the floor to that of a pickup game — not something you particularly want to hear at the highest level.
Knicks Last Game Record
New York beat Denver, who was missing top talent Nikola Jokic, 106-103, on Wednesday. Julius Randle was key in the victory, posting a season-best 34 points.
It was the Knicks first win in the Rocky Mountains in 16 years.
Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks Analysis
Looking at NBA player stats, the Warriors are paced on offense by — Can you guess? — Curry. He’s going for 32.8 points per outing right now, which is good enough for the second-most in the league.
Forward Andrew Wiggins (18.0 points per game) and guard Jordan Poole (16.1) provide some scoring help.
Center Kevon Looney grabs 6.9 boards a game, while mainstay Draymond Green dishes out 6.7 assists. Meanwhile, Randle leads the Knicks in points per game (21.3) and rebounds (8.9).

Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks Odds Breakdown
Golden State Warriors
If you’re looking to wager on the defending world champions, the Golden State Warriors odds show that they’re -108 to cover -7.5 on the points line. They’re -300 favorites on the money line, as well.
New York Knicks
As the visitor, New York is a +240 underdog. The Knicks -112 to cover +7.5. Let’s move on to our Knicks vs Warriors best bets.
Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks Pick and Prediction
If momentum is a thing, it could be more important than NBA team stats. The Warriors’ momentum was halted in the disappointing loss to Phoenix. Rather than soak in his impressive scoring performance, Curry was focused on finding more of a winning recipe after the defeat.
Meanwhile, the Knicks have done well as of late. There aren’t many instances in which a team pins up 135 points in a game and loses. They’ve responded by taking care of business in two in a row.
Who to Bet On?
So, going by that and the fact that Curry obviously can’t do it all — it’s unreasonable to expect him to — Golden State won’t cover in this meeting.
However, they’re not on the road, which means they’ll be more comfortable and pull out a victory.
So what are the Knicks vs Warriors best bets? Take the guests to cover in our New York Knicks prediction, but the Warriors on the money line.
NBA Pick: Knicks +7.5 (-112)
