Both the Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves are NBA teams more focused on the regular season at this point in time, but in order for them to fill out the rest of their roster, they will also need to find some diamonds in the rough.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Milwaukee Bucks
A good way for them to find potential role players is for them to showcase some of those potential diamonds in the rough in the Summer League, as many players in these games hope to have just one chance to step onto a professional court.
Before some of these young guns step onto the hardwood for some real NBA matchups, they have to go through the rigors of the Summer League first. Here is our Timberwolves vs. Bucks Vegas betting analysis Summer league pick!
Summer League Game Recap
In their last Summer League game, the Bucks fell to the Boston Celtics 111-109. The Timberwolves lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 70-63 in their last Summer League game.
Timberwolves vs. Bucks Betting Analysis
Timberwolves Analysis
Kevon Harris led the Timberwolves in scoring his last time out, as he put up 17 points. He struggled to shoot from three, converting just one of his six attempts, but he will look to score in the mid-range or near the rim.
Harris will also contribute in other areas, as he had three rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
All eyes will also be on Josh Minott, as he put up 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and one block in the Wolves’ first win of the Summer League. He also made two 3-pointers.
Minott Performance Recap
Minott was their second-round pick in this year’s draft, and with the depth, the Timberwolves currently possess on their regular-season team, they could look to give Minott some reps early so he can eventually be a regular part of their rotation.
Wendell Moore, Minnesota’s first-round pick this season, looks to be destined to be a regular part of Minnesota’s rotation one day.
He can score in a multitude of ways but also fill the stat sheet with his rebounding, passing, and knack for coming up with some steals and blocks.
With D’Angelo Russell the only stable option at point guard for Minnesota, Moore could potentially position himself to handle some minutes at that position, with a lot of NBA expert picks suggesting that.
Bucks Analysis
The Bucks are one of the league’s best teams in the regular season and playoffs, but it seems like they also have a ton of talent on their Summer League roster.
Sandro Mamukelashvili dropped 28 points his last time out while also providing a spark from three, proving he could be a great fit next to Giannis Antetokounmpo in due time.
Lindell Wigginton also looks to be capable of getting some burn as a guard in this league, as he had 24 points, five rebounds, and five assists in his last game.
Scrappy Guard
The Bucks could always use a scrappy guard, given the fact that the team’s identity is to be scrappy. MarJon Beauchamp and A.J. Green could also find themselves in an NBA rotation with their ability to score out on the wings.
With the Bucks placing a premium on shooting, length, and athleticism, they’re always going to be a tough team to beat night in and night out.
NBA Summer League Report
No injuries to report.
Timberwolves vs. Bucks Betting Preview
NBA betting odds have the Bucks as a three-point favorite. The Bucks are -150 on the moneyline, while the Timberwolves are +130. NBA odds have the over/under set at 174.5 points.
Timberwolves vs. Bucks Betting Prediction
Both of these teams have a lot of young talented players to showcase in this one. The Bucks tend to favor guys who have length and can shoot the three. They also have a tendency to find guards who like to push the pace and play solid all-around basketball.
The Timberwolves are also trying to find a unique mix of guys who could fit next to their new twin towers in:
- Karl-Anthony Towns
- Rudy Gobert
So perhaps some of their guys could come out motivated to play for a contending team. It shall be a fun Summer League game either way!
NBA Pick: Milwaukee (-150)
