There are big favorites to win each of the two conferences, but even the top NBA teams have had a tough time taking control so far. Road teams have also found some success in a couple of series, but home-court advantage has also mattered as well.
Nuggets Even Things Up
The Denver Nuggets are a team that is featured in NBA expert picks pretty frequently as they were big favorites to win the Western Conference. Denver looked to be in trouble after two games as the Minnesota Timberwolves went on the road and stole the first two games.
The NBA odds in this series shifted in a big way after those two games, but things have now gone back the other direction. Denver went on the road to Minnesota and won both games over the weekend and this series is now knotted up at two wins apiece.
Nikola Jokic continues to prove why he is a three-time NBA MVP and Jamal Murray has turned it on as well. The Nuggets are now back to being favorites in this series, and the Minnesota Timberwolves are searching for answers.
Pacers Blow Out Knicks
The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers are one of the more intriguing NBA matchups in the Second Round of the postseason, and this series has come with a ton of drama. New York was able to take a 2-0 series lead on their home floor, but things have now shifted in a big way.
Indiana won both games at home over the weekend, but that doesn’t even tell the whole story. The Pacers had a 43-point lead at one point in the Game 4 win on Sunday, and they have completely taken control of the momentum in this series.
The next game on the NBA schedule will now have the teams back in New York for Game 5, but the Knicks will need to find another gear in order to get back on track. Indiana is in a great position to take control of this series with a third straight win, but they have not been a good road team so far in the playoffs.

Two Other Series
The other two series of this NBA Playoffs recap have seen just three games played, but those have been some highly competitive series as well. The Boston Celtics now have a 2-1 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Dallas Mavericks are up 2-1 on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Boston had the best NBA team stats throughout the regular season, and it’s not a surprise to see them winning their series. The Celtics did have some trouble with Cleveland in Game 3, but they eventually pulled out a huge road win.
The other series is one that everyone is paying attention to as the odds have been extremely tight for every single game. Heading into Game 4, the Dallas Mavericks are slim 1.5-point betting favorites on their home floor.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to put up some great NBA player stats for the Oklahoma City Thunder, but he is going to need some help in order to deal with the Mavericks. Dallas is playing with an injured Luka Doncic, but the rest of the team did just enough to win a home game on Saturday evening as the experts betting predictions expected.
