The Sixers playoff schedule has been kind due to their dominance of Brooklyn in round one. They won a game without Joel Embiid, enabling him to get all the rest and not having to question any roster decisions.
NBA playoffs odds will not favor them in his absence, but the NBA team stats have a real chance to improve. This is perhaps the most intriguing of the night’s NBA matchups due to having to mix and match due to injuries.
As for the Celtics, they are the #1 seed, atop the NBA playoffs standings. NBA expert picks will lean on all the veterans they have, along with their short rotation and roster continuity.
They got here by holding off a highly competitive Atlanta Hawks team, having to exert themselves a lot more than the 76ers needed to. As for the NBA player stats, there is certainly a lot to be desired there for Boston.
We should be in for one of the better games on the NBA schedule tonight. And now, for the Sixers vs Celtics odds.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics Recent Scores
The first of two games on Monday night’s slate is Philadelphia and Boston. The 76ers haven’t played in over a week, when Paul Reed stepped up and grabbed 15 rebounds against Nic Claxton and the Brooklyn Nets.
It was a pretty sure-fire sweep for them against a team that remade itself in the middle of the season after shipping their stars out.
As for Boston Celtics, the scores with the Hawks were closer than expected. Trae Young hit the game-winning three in the waning moments of Game 5. This sent the series back to Atlanta for an extra contest, which the Celtics proved they could hold off their opponents during.
NBA odds may not be too kind to the C’s, but they have surely done enough to prove themselves as the top team remaining in the Eastern Conference.
Sixers vs Celtics odds still to come.
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics Betting Analysis
Philadelphia 76ers
Philly was one of the rare teams this year that played well both at home and on the road. They went 25-16 away from home in the regular season and have improved to 2-0 in the playoffs.
There is a lot to be liked about how they look with Paul Reed. It’s a less traditional offense as they don’t play through a big, but it opens up lanes for Tyrese Maxey and James Harden to drive through.
The team will be okay without Embiid.
Boston Celtics
As for Boston, they are pretty content to just bring Robert Williams III off the bench this time around. He was starting with Al Horford on the days he was available a season ago. Boston went 32-9 at home in the regular season, though they were not perfect in their own stadium against the Hawks last round.
They have veterans all over the place and should be ready for any situation. The 6th man of the year, Malcolm Brogdon, may just be their missing piece.
Sixers vs Celtics odds to follow.
Updates
Joel Embiid is doubtful for Game 1, and it will be important to monitor his status before making any long-term bets on the series. Boston has everybody but Danilo Gallinari available.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics Betting Prediction
76ers +10: Philly might be down the likely league MVP, but they have enough pieces to take a road game here. The coaching matchup leaves a lot to be desired, as Doc Rivers has underachieved here for a few years.
But Joe Mazzulla has had some troubles. Doc is good enough to win that battle this series, and his chess moves will get his team a Game 1 opportunity. They will cover.
Sixers +380: The road dogs will not only cover, but win. A lot of money to be had in this selection. Tyrese Maxey has been fantastic and will continue to be. They have finally carved a consistent role out for Tobias Harris, or so it seems. They have the pieces. They will get it done.
Under 213.5: Philly is going to win a low-scoring, beat-em-up type of game. Physicality will be on a ten, and a heavy dose of Paul Reed minutes can make sure the under hits.
