Thursday’s NBA schedule has seven games for your online sports betting ticket. We’ve reviewed each of the NBA matchups and odds and have isolated our favorite picks on the night.
Let’s review our picks and build a winning NBA parlay Thursday night.
Milwaukee Bucks ML vs. LA Clippers (-182 to -190)
Some moneyline options are almost off the table with no value for our NBA parlay Thursday. We’d have to create a risky parlay to see any value from some of the NBA odds available on the moneyline. However, the Milwaukee Bucks and LA Clippers are not one of those games, and it is the first leg of our NBA parlay.
The Bucks are the moneyline favorite, listed between -182 and -190, depending on your sportsbook of choice. The Clippers are listed between +150 and +158. Milwaukee has a 34-17 record, while LA has a 29-25 record.
Milwaukee is on a five-game winning streak and has won seven of the last ten games. LA has won two of its last three games and seven of the last ten, but its last three wins have come against the Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, and San Antonio Spurs.
The Bucks are a dominant 21-5 on home court, while the Clippers are 15-14 on the road.
However, the trick of betting on the LA Clippers is checking the NBA injury report closer to tip-off, as you never know if Khawi Leonard or Paul George are going to play. Leonard and George lead the Clippers in NBA player stats and leave major holes in scoring when not in the lineup.
We’re taking Milwaukee to win at home and extend its winning streak to six games.
Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets Over 231.5 to 232.5 (-108 to -110)
The Golden State Warriors have a 29-19-3 over/under record this season, while the Denver Nuggets are 24-27 over/under. The Warriors are 2-2-1 over/under in the last five games and 6-3-1 in the last ten. The Nuggets have covered a 232.0 spread in their last two games but are 2-3 over/under in the last five games and 4-6 over/under in the last ten.
The over is 4-1 in the Warriors’ last five games following a straight-up loss. Here the over is 5-1 in Denver’s last six games against teams with a winning record.
The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall and 11-5 in the last 16 games in Denver.
When faced with total points over 230 points, Golden State has hit the over in five of the last nine games. Denver has a 4-5 record when facing a 230-point total.
We expect Golden State Warriors to continue to put up big numbers but lose in the end, while the Bucks will do their part in eclipsing the 231.5 or 232.5 total points line, depending on which sportsbook you use.
NBA Parlay Thursday Leg two: Take the Warriors and Bucks to hit the over.
Cleveland Cavaliers -6 or -6.5 over Memphis Grizzlies (+100 to -114)
The Cleveland Cavaliers are among the best teams in the Eastern Conference, the Memphis Grizzlies are struggling, and both teams’ defensive NBA team stats are very impressive. The Cavaliers enter Thursday night as sizeable moneyline favorites (-225 to -250) over the Grizzlies (+188 to +210).
The Grizzlies have lost six of the last seven games while posting a 4-6 ATS record in the previous ten games. Memphis has a 24-26-1 ATS record this season.
The Cavaliers have alternated wins and losses in the last six games and are 4-6 in the last ten games. Cleveland has a 5-5 ATS record in the last ten games and a 26-24-2 ATS record overall.
Cleveland is 6-0 ATS in the last six games following a spread loss while going 6-1-1 ATS following a straight-up loss. While Cleveland doesn’t score the most points in the league, they are shooting efficiently from the field, ranked sixth in the NBA and shooting 48.4%. We expect the Cavs’ excellent shooting efficiency to be the difference between reasonably evenly-matched defenses.
We’ll take the Cleveland Cavaliers to extend the Grizzlies’ lack of success and cover a six-point spread.
Leg three for our NBA parlay Thursday is Cleveland -6 or -6.5, depending on the sportsbook.
Los Angeles Lakers ML over Indiana Pacers (-115 to -130)
The Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers enter Thursday night with identical 24-28 records. The Lakers have lost three of the last five games, with losses coming at the hands of the LA Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics, but are 5-5 in the last ten games.
The Pacers have lost three straight games, four of the last five games, and nine of the last ten. However, when these two teams last met on November 28th, 2022, the Pacers narrowly escaped with a 116-115 win.
The good news for the Lakers is that they have been playing better basketball since the last meeting and expect Anthony Davis back in the lineup very soon. When checking the NBA team stats, most metrics favor the Lakers, the better defensive team, despite giving up more points per game on average than the Pacers, and the more efficient shooting team.
We expect the Lakers to get a much-needed road win, winning their second game in a row.
Leg Four of our NBA Parlay is to take the Los Angeles Lakers on the moneyline.
Miami Heat ML over New York Knicks (-130 to -133)
Our final pick for our NBA parlay Thursday is to take the Miami Heat to win on the moneyline.
The Heat enters Thursday with a 29-23 record, having won four of their last five games and seven of the last ten. The Knicks have a 27-25 record, have lost two straight games, and six of the last ten. The New York Knicks remain one of the most perplexing teams to watch nightly in the NBA, as they show up to defeat the Boston Celtics in overtime but lose to the likes of Atlanta, Toronto, and Washington.
Miami has a 12-14 record on the road, while New York has an identical 12-14 record at home.
Miami might have some of the worst offensive NBA team stats in the league, but they shine defensively. The Knicks are also very good defensively, ranked second with teams shooting 45.4% from the floor.
We’re not sure which Knicks team will show up on the court in Madison Square Garden, and we are putting our money behind the Miami Heat on the road.
Our parlay’s fifth and final leg is to take the Miami Heat to win straight-up on the moneyline.
