One of the biggest moves in the National Basketball Association this off-season so far has been the addition of Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns. Beal now has a chance to not only reach the postseason but grab an NBA title with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker on his team as well. The question with the shooting guard now is – how many points will he score on his new team? Let’s take a look at Bradley Beal’s PPG odds for the 2023-2024 season.
Solid Career in Washington
Bradley Beal has been in the league since he was 19 years old, back in the 2012-2013 season. Every season, Beal has seen his NBA Player Stats show double-digit points per game. For several seasons, Beal found himself on the NBA injury report, which of course, made his production go down a bit. But there is no doubt that the man can score and score in bunches.
Playing with the Washington Wizards all his career, Bradley Beal PPG odds were pretty high. The guy scored 23.2 points per game his last two seasons, and before that was up to over 30 points per game. Beal was consistently at or near the top in NBA Stats for points per game. Beal has always been one when looking at NBA Odds to be near the top of three-pointers made as well. In 2019-2020 Beal made 3 of them per game while shooting a career-high 8.4 per game.
If you follow the 2023-2024 NBA Predictions, you will see his new team, the Phoenix Suns, at the top of the Western Conference leaderboards. Of course, the defending NBA Champions Denver Nuggets are over there, along with a Lakers team that looks to have improved, along with the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers. There is tons of talent in the Western Conference, so making your NBA Picks for the Western Conference is not an easy task. But, with health for Durant and Booker, along with Beal, the Suns are going to be there at the end.
Durant is a Scoring Machine
Kevin Durant is one of the best players in all of the National Basketball Association. He also missed time last season, playing in just 47 games. That certainly hurt the NBA Betting Trends to see one of the best in the league miss time. Durant is even older than Beal, as he will be entering his age 35 season. But the fact still remains, Durant is a mass scorer. Durant needs to have the basketball and needs to get shots up. Durant has not averaged any less than 11 two-point shots per game. Durant is also a free throw monster, averaging more than 5 per game every season since his rookie year. Having a Kevin Durant on your team certainly hurts the chances of Bradley Beal PPG odds jumping too high.
Booker also wants the Basketball
The Phoenix Suns also have a borderline Top 10 player in Devin Booker. The 26-year-old is coming off a season where he scored 27.8 points per game, which is the most in his career. Booker has gone 7 straight seasons with 22+ points per game. Another guy that needs the basketball averages 12.5 2 point shots per game and another 5.8 three-point shots per game. There is very little doubt that the Phoenix Suns are going to turn to Booker to get his fair share of shots and put up points.
Ayton Demands the Ball Inside
As of July, DeAndre Ayton still remained on the Phoenix Suns roster. The first pick back in the 2018 NBA draft is just 24 years old but has had a tough time staying on the floor. But if he remains with the team, what will that do for Bradley Beal PPG odds? Ayton is a guy that has to have the ball inside. The big man scored 18 points per game a season ago with the Suns and averages 16.7 in his career. Ayton is a big rebound guy and has gotten 10+ in each of his first five seasons with the Suns. He will be needed, and they need him healthy.
Back to Beal
Back to the point here – Bradley Beal, who is now 30 years, is ready to compete for an NBA title. The shooting guard has played in just 8 playoff games in his career. The last time he was in the postseason was a single game in 2021. Beal has to be willing to see his points per game go down and be a contributor in other ways with the Suns. Beal, who has yet to score 20 points per game since 2015-2016, will be UNDER that this season.
Too many guys need to score in Phoenix, and they still aren’t done adding players. Look for Beal’s assist numbers to improve, and maybe even by a couple per game. Beal is going to be a pass-first guy with the ability to score if he needs to. It’s going to be hard to guard all the talent in Phoenix. Look for Bradley Beal’s PPG Odds to be 17.5, but his assists per game odds to reach nearly 8 per game.
