Kansas Jayhawks vs. Kansas State Wildcats Betting Preview
These are two of the best NCAA basketball teams in the country right now. As Kansas is ranked No. 2 in the country. Sunflower State rivals are 13th but have been as high as No. 11 in the overall college basketball standings.
The Jayhawks opened their title defense with six straight wins, fell to Tennessee, and have since reeled off ten consecutive victories heading into Tuesday.
Included in this current streak are five straight Big 12 wins to open their conference slate. However, four of those wins came by four points or less, so the defending champs could be ripe for the picking on the road.
Still, as we check the Kansas Jayhawks standings, they remain the only unbeaten team in the Big 12. Regarded as the best conference in the country, with six teams ranked in the Top 25.
K-State is right on their heels, of course, as the Wildcats are one of three teams sitting at 4-1 and one game back of KU in the conference. Texas and Iowa State are the others. Kansas State was unblemished in their first four as they were riding a nine-game winning streak. But they fell to TCU on Saturday, perhaps looking ahead to tonight’s clash with Bill Self’s group.
Injury Report
There are nine players combined from both programs on the college basketball injury report, but fortunately, none are major contributors. Kansas State’s David N’Guessan and KU’s MJ Rice would be the biggest names on the list, with N’Guessan injuring his shoulder this past weekend.
Meanwhile, we’ve got two of the best college basketball players in the country going head-to-head. Kansas’ Jalen Wilson and K-State’s Keyontae Johnson. They are two of the top three scorers in the Big 12 and should be featured heavily in this must-see matchup. They not only both lead their teams in scoring but in rebounding as well.
Plus, this showdown features the top two assist men in the conference in Markquis Nowell and Dajuan Harris Junior. This Kansas Jayhawks vs Kansas State Wildcats game today should be a dandy.
Kansas Jayhawks vs. Kansas State Wildcats Betting Preview
As noted, the NCAAB odds for this one list the Jayhawks as slight favorites with a hefty total. Kansas is definitely a team to look out for again come tourney time, but they won’t be able to consistently get by with two and three-point victories. Just ask the Minnesota Vikings.
Bramlage Coliseum should be rocking in front of a national tv audience, especially considering the Wildcats are 4-0 ATS in their last four Tuesday games, 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
According to the Kansas vs Kansas State odds and betting trends, this is a nice spot to not only take the points, but the moneyline as well. Kansas State wins outright and jams up the top of the Big 12 for the moment.
Pick: Kansas State +2
