Miami (OH) vs. Buffalo Analysis
Every team in the MAC is in action on Friday night as next week’s tournament bracket takes shape with still plenty left to decide. Only eight teams from the conference qualify, and looking at the Miami Redhawks standings, they currently hold the eighth and final seed.
The biggest of the NCAA basketball games today in the MAC will be between Kent State and Akron, who sit 2nd and 3rd, respectively, but Miami needs this one as much as anyone.
Looking at the Buffalo Bulls schedule, they’ve exchanged wins and losses over their last four games, losing four of their last six overall to slide into the 6-seed in the MAC. They can move no lower than 7th, and then it would come down to tiebreakers with Ohio should Buffalo win tonight and the Bobcats lose.
Fortunately, the college basketball injury report is clean as it pertains to this game, so both squads will be at full strength. Keep an eye on the college basketball standings through the weekend on IBD and continue reading for our Miami Redhawks vs Buffalo Bulls best bets.

Miami (OH) vs. Buffalo Betting Pick and Prediction
Lairy is one of the better college basketball players in the MAC, entering this finale 4th in the conference in scoring and 7th in assists. He was enough the first time these two clashed, but will he do what it takes to sweep the Bulls? He’s played at least 38 minutes in five straight games and has poured in a combined 47 points over their last two.
He’s gotten help lately, too. Senior forward Anderson Mirambeaux is averaging more than 18 ppg over his last four, including a 24-spot against Bowling Green on February 21, his second-highest output after he opened the year with 27 against Evansville.
Miami’s Recent Basketball Performance: Winning Streak and ATS Record
Miami seems to be clicking at the right time, having won four in a row, a streak that began on February 18. They’re also 4-0 ATS in those games and 5-1 ATS in their last six following a SU win.
Buffalo beat Northern Illinois by ten this past Tuesday as 4.5-point chalk, but that might not bode well for covering on Friday. The Bulls are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win. And that’s the deciding factor for us in this one. Buffalo might win it outright, but we’re on the more desperate team catching 8.5 in what should be a wild night of MACtion.
- Miami Redhawks vs Buffalo Bulls best bets: Miami (OH) +8.5
