When coach Holloway took the job, many believed that Seton Hall was going to be one of the best teams in the nation and that simply hasn’t been the case just yet. However, some of their college basketball players are above average and have a chance of turning their season around if they can play well in the Big East this season.
The one guy that we’re going to be looking for in this game is certainly going to be KC Ndefo. If his offensive game can improve, there’s a good chance that this kid could even possibly find himself in the NBA next season. While it might be a long shot, he has more than enough talent to get the job down. Seton Hall is one of those NCAA basketball teams that’s going to beat you down low. They’re going to defend at the highest level possible and are going to make things tough on any offense that they play. This is a huge game for both teams on their NCAAB schedule.

Marquette is one of those teams that nobody typically ever wants to play, and that’s because they play an elite level of basketball year in and year out. Although the past few seasons haven’t necessarily gone the way that we would expect from a Marquette team, this squad has played fantastic basketball to start the year as they have wins over Georgia Tech, Creighton, Notre Dame, and a few other high-level opponents. They also barely lost to teams like Wisconsin, Providence, Mississippi State, and Purdue. If they can turn some of those losses into wins, there’s a good chance that we can see this team in the top 25 at some time in the near future. Although I have been more impressed with what Marquette has done throughout the year, I do think it’s just a matter of time before Seton Hall finally figures this thing out.
If you were a fan of that Saint Peter’s team a season ago, they also had a slow start with head coach Shaheen Holloway. He typically likes to mess around with the rotations and find guys that can fit the defensive schemes that he’s looking for, and I believe the same thing is going to happen with Seton Hall this season. While they certainly play a much better schedule than St. Peter’s, if coach Holloway could take Saint Peter’s to the Elite 8, then there’s no reason why a team like Seton Hall can’t beat a squad like Marquette. It’s not going to be an easy task for them to get the job done, but I fully expect them to at least cover that +7 spread on Tuesday night.
