Siena Saints Preview
This is Siena’s first game in a week, and they’re sure to be chomping at the bit after unwillingly tightening up the top of the MAAC thanks to a loss to Quinnipiac last Friday. That loss snapped a two-game winning streak, but streaky Iona has been a force, having won seven in a row with only one loss at home all season.
The Saints have two players who appear on the college basketball injury report, but neither Taihland Owens nor Jordan Kellier are major contributors, though Kellier had four points and eight rebounds the last time these two squared off.
Siena does have one of the better college basketball players in the conference in Javian McCollum, who is seventh in the MAAC in scoring and fifth in assists. The sophomore guard missed the first meeting with Rider but has eight games scoring 20+ this season, including 23 last Sunday in a win over Marist.

Rider Broncs Preview
Rider was on a hot streak, appearing as if they would be on a collision course with Iona for the regular season crown, having won eight in a row from January 15 through February 10. The streak included a win over the Gaels, the team they will face in the final game of the regular season. However, they’ve since dropped two in a row, the most recent of which was also at the hands of Quinnipiac.
There are no notable Rider Broncs injuries heading into this one, so they should be at full strength Friday night, though we will mention that they lost Kami Young to a knee injury for the season back in November.
Keep an eye on Dwight Murray, Jr. for Rider. The senior guard is third in the MAAC in scoring and dropped 20 against Siena in their first encounter.
Siena Saints vs. Rider Broncs Betting Picks
This is one of the more compelling NCAA basketball games today, as the winner takes over sole possession of the second place in the MAAC. If Siena wins on Friday, they’ll hold a commanding edge over Rider in the seedings, but if the Broncs hold court at home, things will get really interesting down the stretch, with three games left for each after this one.
The Siena Saints odds in this one would lead you to believe that Rider will come out on top. But we’re actually taking the points because Siena is 4-0 ATS in their last four road games vs. a team with a winning home record, and Rider is 1-7 ATS in their last eight home games.
