The Texas Longhorns might have one of the easiest games on their NCAAB schedule on Tuesday night as they take on the Texas A&M Commerce Lions for what’s expected to be one of those lopsided NCAA basketball games today. The Longhorns are typically regarded as one of the top teams in America coming into the year, and it would make sense if they find a way to get the job done.
Considering that they’re currently the #6 ranked team in America in the college basketball standings and have played well throughout the year, there should truly be no reason why Texas A&M Commerce has a chance in this game. However, we’ve seen crazier things happen in college basketball, and that means we’re going to have to be smart with our college basketball picks.
Let’s break this game down with our Texas A&M-Commerce vs Texas odds.
Texas A&M Commerce vs. Texas Odds
The NCAAB odds coming into this game are going to be insanely favoring the Texas Longhorns. Texas is going to be coming in at -30 on the spread line, while there isn’t even going to be a money line because of how high the spread is. Texas A&M Commerce is going to be coming in at +30 on the spread line, and that’s going to have odds of – 110.
The over/under in this game is going to be slotted at 139, and it might not be a bad idea to take the over, considering that the sportsbooks are telling us that they believe Texas could win this game by 30 points.

Texas A&M Commerce vs. Texas Betting Preview
The college basketball standings entering this game are certainly going to favor Texas by a wide margin, and it certainly makes sense considering how good of a team they’ve been this season. To put in perspective what they’ve done this year, they currently come in as the #6 ranked team in America and are 10-1 on the year.
If they can come out and continue doing what they’ve been able to do, with wins over Gonzaga, Creighton, Rice, Stanford, Louisiana-Lafayette, and many other impressive teams, Texas has a real chance of winning this game by 50 points. They even beat the Gonzaga team by 19 points at the beginning of the season.
Because of some of the top college basketball players that Texas has, they have multiple players on the team that can go out and score 25+ points on any given night. They even had a player play only 18 minutes in their most recent win that ended up scoring 25 points. They had five guys finished with at least 10 points in their most recent win against a 10-2 Louisiana-Lafayette squad.
Timmy Allen is going to be the one guy that we’re going to watch out for in this game, and that’s because of what he’s been able to do as a forward this season. The senior guard out of Arizona is currently averaging 10 points, six rebounds, four assists, and shooting an efficient 50% from the field.
He’s scored at least 15 points in four of his last five games, and that even includes a 21-point performance against Illinois. If he can come out and continue doing that, he’s going to be able to do whatever he wants against a team like Texas A&M Commerce. The Longhorns are one of the top NCAA basketball teams in America, and I expect them to dominate completely in this contest.
Texas A&M Commerce is going to be coming into this one playing somewhat decent basketball on the seasoning from their perspective. Although 4-9 is never going to be looked at as a success, they’ve had some players on the college basketball injury report, and they’re hopeful that maybe their season can turn around.
Demarcus Demonia happens to be the one guy that we’re going to be looking for in this game, as he’s averaging 14.8 points and shooting an efficient 48% from the field this season. He’s someone that we want to keep in the back of our minds with our Texas A&M-Commerce vs Texas odds, as he could possibly be the guy that does come out and ruin our bet if we decided to take the Longhorns.
Texas A&M Commerce vs. Texas Betting Preview
We’re finally here with our Texas A&M-Commerce vs Texas odds and best bet. The bet that I’m going to be looking for in this game is going to be taking the first half. I’m going to take Texas at – 15 and get – 110 odds in this game in the first half. That means if Texas wins the first half by more than 15 points, we will win our bet. Although I do think that they cover this 30-point spread, I would rather be safer and take only 15 points in the first half, as I expect them to come out and be able to do whatever they want on both sides of the basketball.
