The Commodores are 2-7 (0-5) and are riding a four-game losing streak after dropping a home game 37-28 against the Missouri Tigers. Sophomore quarterback Mike Wright finished 14-of-28 for 122 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.

Junior running back Chris Rodriguez Jr has been doing well this season carrying the offensive load as he has 157 rushing attempts for 918 yards (5.8 yards per rush) for five touchdowns as well as 12 receptions for 56 yards (4.7 yards per catch) with a pair of receiving touchdowns.
In his last game against the Volunteers, Rodriguez finished with 22 rushes for 109 yards (five yards per carry).
The Kentucky Wildcats have been doing a pretty decent job defensively this year as they are giving up 23.4 points per game. In their previous game against the Tennessee Volunteers, the Wildcats allowed 45 points on 461 total yards of offense (316 passing, 145 rushing).

The passing game of the Vanderbilt Commodores is built to get the ball to sophomore wide receiver Will Sheppard. On the season, he has 36 catches for 466 yards (12.9 yards per reception) with three touchdowns. He struggled in the last game against the Tigers as he had just a single reception for nine yards.
The Vanderbilt Commodores have been struggling to get stops as they allowed 35.6 points per game against. In their previous game against the Missouri Tigers, the Commodores gave up 37 points on 502 total yards of offense (218 passing, 284 rushing).
Vandy needs to work on limiting the run as the Tigers ran for 6.5 yards per rushing attempt. They were able to get some key stops as they forced Missouri to go just 4-of-12 on third down opportunities and converted the only fourth down try.
