Let’s see which team is the takes the win on this Terrapins at Buckeyes betting pick.
The Ohio State Buckeyes will host the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday morning at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The kick-off is set for 12:00 p.m. ET, and this contest is set to air on FOX Network.
Ohio State Preview
The Buckeyes are coming off one of their best wins this season with a dominant win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 52-13. This team is getting ready to square off against a Maryland team that struggled on Friday night against the Iowa Hawkeyes. The good news for the Terps is they get an extra day of preparation to get ready for this game.
The Buckeyes currently sit at (4-1, 2-0) on the season. Led by quarterback CJ Stroud who was doubtful to play against Rutgers, he ended up being ready to go, and he was brilliant.
Stroud threw for 330 yards and added five touchdowns on the day. The star wide receiver duo of Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave continue to show up as they combined for eight catches on 190 yards and three touchdowns.
This is a very important game for the Buckeyes as it will show just how good they really are. I May have been questioning the talent, but this is a good opportunity to show the College Football Committee they belong and are here to stay.
Coming into this game, the Buckeyes are three-touchdown home favorites against the Terps. The Terps have really struggled taking care of the ball this season, so the Buckeyes at -21 points makes sense on the spread.
Ohio State has finally hit their stride, and CJ Stroud is starting to finally get healthy, which is good news. As Stroud rounds into form, this offense will only become more effective and dangerous.
Maryland Terrapins Preview
Maryland comes to town in this Big Ten Conference showdown fresh off an ugly loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes. They will face an even tighter challenge trying to handle one of the more electric offenses in the country. As stated, all the focus will be put on taking care of the ball as they look to bounce back against the Buckeyes.
The Terps currently sit at (4-1,1-1) on the season and are coming off their first which happened to be in conference play. Taulia Tagovailoa had arguably the worst game of his collegiate career, throwing for only 157 yards and five interceptions.
While he led the team in rushing yards at a mere 24 on the game, it was an all-around lackluster performance for a team that was (4-0). Iowa had the Terps number coming away with a 51-14 win, and things are not looking any easier for a team trying to find a win to get back on track as the Buckeyes are rolling.
It’s been a small sample size, but the Buckeyes lead the all-time head-to-head series over the Terps 6-0. In their last meeting back on Nov. 9th, 2019, the Buckeyes rolled to a 73-14 win.
