AFC East Betting Analysis

Despite being favored, the Bills face uncertainty following the departure of Stefon Diggs. While their young receivers show promise, they lack proven experience. Chase Claypool’s potential resurgence could be a wild card, but Josh Allen must overcome challenges in the passing game. The Bills have won the division the last four years in a row, but without Diggs and their defense taking a step back over the last couple of seasons, it will be tough to get a fifth. 

For the New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers’s arrival has generated excitement, but his age and declining performance raise questions. The improved offensive line is a positive step, but the team’s overall receiving corps remains a concern. A strong defensive unit could help mitigate offensive struggles. We don’t think Rodgers has enough elite talent left in his tank to make the Jets elite this season. 

The Dolphins boast a talented roster and a promising outlook. A healthy defensive core, including Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, and Jalen Ramsey, could elevate their game. The addition of Odell Beckham Jr. provides depth and experience to the receiving corps. They still have one of the better quarterbacks and the best wide receiver in the league. They will be formidable. 

The Patriots are in a rebuilding phase with a focus on developing young talent, including rookie quarterback Drake Maye. Their immediate prospects for division contention appear limited, but the future could hold promise.

The Miami Dolphins enter the season with an explosive offense that ranked third in scoring last year. Tyreek Hill is a perennial threat, and the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. adds another dynamic weapon. However, defensive concerns linger. Key losses on the defensive line and in the secondary have created gaps that the Dolphins must address. That being said, their offensive firepower is too much to overlook. 

The Dolphins’ combination of offensive firepower and defensive potential makes them the most compelling choice to win the AFC East. A healthy roster, coupled with strategic offseason additions, positions them as strong contenders for the division win. We see a new winner of the AFC East this season and think the Dolphins are primed to be that team.
