Arizona Cardinals at Tennessee Titans Betting Preview
The Tennessee Titans are ready to begin their 2021 season on Sunday as the Arizona Cardinals will be in town. Both teams should have a legitimate shot of reaching the playoffs this season, but a lot will have to go right for each team.
Arizona looked like a playoff team for much of the 2020 season, but they had a miserable finish to the year. The Cardinals are in a loaded NFC West Division, but the Cardinals could be in the mix if the franchise continues to show some improvement.
Tennessee won the AFC South a season ago, and they are one of the top betting picks to reach the Super Bowl this season. The Titans will need to win the division again this season to make that a reality, and a win on Sunday would go a long way.
The Tennessee Titans are three-point favorites over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Cardinals Need to Defend
If the Arizona Cardinals are going to turn their season around in 2021, then the defensive unit will have to play better. Arizona has not been a great defensive team of late and finding a way to slow down Derrick Henry will be priority number one on Sunday.
Quarterback Kyle Murray can make all of the big plays for the Cardinals, but the team is still looking for their QB to be more consistent. DeAndre Hopkins is now the top target for Murray, but he is going to attract plenty of attention from the Titans.
The Cardinals are still a relatively young team, but it is time for them to take the next step on the field. Arizona will hit on plenty of big plays this season, but they have to be more consistent on each series that they are on the field.
Titans Want to Run
Tennessee can beat teams in a variety of ways, but few teams run the football as well as the Titans. Running back Derrick Henry led the NFL in rushing a season ago, and he should find even more holes to run through this season.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill continues to be extremely underrated, and he has the arm to take over a football game. Tannehill now has a new weapon in wide receiver Julio Jones, and the passing attack for the Titans could be tough to stop this season.
Tennessee Takes Care of Business
The Arizona Cardinals nearly made the playoffs a season ago, but they have yet to prove that they have what it takes to get there. Arizona didn’t get any favors by facing the Titans in Week 1, but this will be a chance for the Cardinals to prove themselves.
Tennessee is going to give Henry a ton of touches in this game, and that spells some serious trouble for Atlanta. The Titans don’t have an offense that can score in a hurry, but Henry and that rushing attack will wear them down.
Bet the Tennessee Titans -3.0 as that offense will simply take control of the game and lead Tennessee to a win.
