The Cincinnati Bengals will travel to M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon to take on the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC North matchup. The Bengals are 4-2 this season and are coming off a 34-11 road win over the Detroit Lions. Joe Burrow had a pretty good game and went 19-of-29 for 271 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. This year, the Ravens are 5-1 and are coming off a 34-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Lamar Jackson struggled in the passing game as he went 19-of-27 for 167 yards with a touchdown and a pair of interceptions.
Chasing Glory
The Cincinnati Bengals love to throw the ball, and rookie wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been doing extremely well as he has 27 receptions for 553 yards (20.5 yards per catch) with five touchdowns thus far. In his previous game against the Detroit Lions, he finished with four catches on eight targets for 97 yards (24.3 yards per reception). If the Bengals can continue to get the ball in the vicinity of Chase, it will do wonders for Cincinnati’s offense.
This season, the Cincinnati Bengals have been a pretty good defensive team as they are allowing 18.5 points per game. In their last game against the Detroit Lions, they gave up 11 points on 228 total yards of offense (192 passing, 36 rushings). They did a good job stuffing the run as the Lions averaged just two yards per rush attempt. The Bengals also did well as they limited the Lions to just 3.7 yards per play overall. If the Bengals can continue to build their defensive prowess, they can be a scary team to face off against.
Hollywood Brown
The Baltimore Ravens have been passing the ball at a better rate than usual and wide receiver Marquise Brown has been doing well. So far this season, he has 32 receptions for 486 yards (15.2 yards per catch) and five touchdown receptions. His last game against the Los Angeles Chargers finished with four catches on five targets with 35 yards (8.8 yards per reception). If he can get the ball thrown at him more, it will be an excellent sign for the Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens have been doing well defensively as they are giving up 20.5 points per game this season. In their previous game against the Los Angeles Chargers, they allowed six points on 208 total yards (182 passing, 26 rushings). They did a great job defensively getting stops as he went 3-of-12 on third down and 1-of-4 on fourth down. The Ravens also had a big defensive showing as they allowed the Chargers to average 3.9 total yards per play.
Who to Bet
These teams will face off twice this season, and both teams are very close to one another. However, the Bengals have been doing well as they are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games against the Ravens. Cincinnati is allowing just 16.8 points per game in their previous four games, while Baltimore gives up 18 points per game in their last five games. This game feels like going down to the wire, so give me Cincinnati getting six points on the road here.
