The NFL is giving us quite the prime time show to cap off a fantastic day of football. We head out to the bay area for Sunday Night Football. It’s the Green Bay Packers against the San Francisco 49ers.
Green Bay heads into the game 1-1 after a convincing divisional win against the Lions. San Francisco is coming into the game looking to continue their quest for a perfect record as they come off a close game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers lead the series all-time against the 49ers of 37-32-1, and they look to add onto the victory column.
Packers offense remains top tier
The Reigning MVP put on quite the show on Monday. He rallied his offense for 4 scores through the air, and Aaron Jones kept one on the ground for an impressive 18 point victory over Detroit. This offense seems to have bounced back after a truly poor week 1 effort.
Packers defense looking like swiss cheese
It might be time to hit the panic button in Green Bay due to their lackluster play. Currently, the Packers’ defense is allowing 27.5 PPG and 330 YPG. You can win that way against the Lions, sure but most definitely not against the 49ers.
San Francisco has such a high offensive upside that the Packers need to have one of their best games of the year to win. This will not be a cakewalk like Monday night. Green Bay allows a passer rating of 123.3, which will not lead to a victory under the lights. Let’s hope the cheese heads don’t play like swiss cheese.
49ers can’t find a consistent scorer
The 49ers always seem to have a new player “leading the charge” over the past few weeks. In week 1 it was Elijah Mitchell, and in week 2 it was Debo Samuel. Who will it be this week? There are so many playmakers on this offense that it seems pretty hard to tell.
The Packers have one of the worst run defenses in the league, so it may seem easy to point at Elijah Mitchell to have another stellar week. But with a great running back committee, you can never honestly tell. Until they find a true scorer, I’d stay away from single-player prop bets on the 49ers.
ODDS & FREE BETTING ANALYSIS FOR THIS FOOTBALL GAME
The 49ers are currently favored by 3, and that seems to be a very favorable line. This will be a matchup for the ages considering both teams have their fair share of concerns.
This game will more than likely find most plays on the ground due to the explosive run attack. Ultimately, the 49ers will overpower the Packers due to the better talent they have. The 49ers will have more yards, more touchdowns, more sacks, and one more win.
Overall, I think the money line goes to the 49ers, and so does the spread. It’s genuinely the 49ers’ game to lose, and they are a much better team than Green Bay. It is proven that Aaron Rogers can’t just carry this team to a victory. Unless the defense of Green Bay shows up, every bet seems in favor of the 49ers.
