Las Vegas Raiders vs. Denver Broncos Analysis
The Las Vegas Raiders will move on to a new quarterback. Gone is Derek Carr, and in is Jimmy Garoppolo. Carr left after a rocky season and an unsuccessful season for the Raiders. The signal-caller finished with more than 3,500 passing yards and 24 touchdowns, but his 14 interceptions and 27 sacks came back to haunt the team.
Davante Adams is still with the Raiders and will be the top target. Adams caught 100 passes a season ago and finished with 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns. Josh Jacobs is also back for the Raiders. Jacobs finished as the top rusher a season ago with 1,653 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Las Vegas will start the 2023 season with this game on the road and then a game at Buffalo. In their first home game in Week 3, the Raiders will host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Broncos’ Coaching Shake-Up
For the Denver Broncos, in is Sean Payton, and out is Nathaniel Hackett. The one season as head coach for Hackett was one of the worst experiments of all time. The Broncos will see what they can get from second-year quarterback Russell Wilson.
After several great seasons with Seattle, Wilson was less than adequate a season ago. Denver would like to get Wilson back to his performances when he was getting NFL MVP odds at or near the top of the list.
Wilson played in 15 games, and his NFL Player Stats saw him throw 16 touchdowns but 11 interceptions and was sacked 55 times on the season. Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton were his top targets and will be again this season. They combined for over 1,800 yards and eight touchdowns.
The Broncos should get JaVonte Williams back and fully healthy this season. He was able to just play in four games a season ago with his ACL injury.

This game features two quarterbacks looking to prove their value to their team. Look for a good game, but in the end, the home team has the advantage.
Sean Payton will have a good team, and this Broncos team will be more organized than last season. The Broncos win late and cover the spread.
