Monday Night of Week 12 in the NFL brings us another one of the weaker NFL matchups of the week. However, Steelers vs Colts prediction is that this will be a hard-fought game with a higher quality of play than many maybe expect. The Colts look better under Coach Saturday, and the Steelers always show up in primetime, so don’t sleep on this game yet.
Best NFL Picks Week 12
The NFL odds have the Colts as 2.5-point favorites, and I personally love that line as in my Steelers vs Colts prediction, I have the Colts winning by 5-7. A great Indianapolis defense will dominate the game, and I expect the point total to be under the set line of 39.

Pittsburgh Steelers Analysis
Offense
The Steelers have one of the worst offenses in the NFL.
They currently average 17 points a contest which is the 5th worst in the NFL. The Steelers’ stats are pretty abysmal across the board, as they rank 27th in the league in yards per game and the 22nd-best 3rd conversion rate.
Kenny Pickett is showing his youth, as you can see when looking at his NFL player stats. He has thrown 3 TDs to 8 INTs so far this season while boasting a 43.0 QBR. Steelers fans can only hope that Pickett is learning quickly and that he will show improvement by next year, if not the end of this current one.
Defense
Pittsburgh traditionally has always had a strong defense. Unfortunately for Steelers fans, this year’s defensive unit has left a lot to be desired. The Steelers are allowing 24.4 points and 375.5 yards a contest.
However, T.J. Watt getting off the NFL injury report and returning to the team has been a great boost for the past two weeks. The defense looks to finish the year strong with their young playmaker back.
Indianapolis Colts Analysis
Offense
The Colts have been struggling this year on offense averaging 15.7 points a game which ranks them 2nd worst in the league, and 321.4 yards a game which is the 8th worst. Jeff Saturday has definitely empowered this offense, as Matt Ryan has played his best football this year under the interim coach.
If Matt Ryan and this offense play consistently as well as they have the past two weeks, you can expect the Colts’ standings to improve late in the year.
Defense
The Colts’ defense is respectable, considering the context under which they’ve had to play. The defense is only allowing 20 points a contest which is 11th best in the league, while only allowing 307.6 yards a game putting them 4th in the league in that category.
The Colts’ NFL team stats on defense are really good, and if their offense can keep them off the field and give them a favorable field position, the defense will be able to carry the team to a couple of wins in the later portion of the NFL schedule.
NFL Stats and Standings
When looking at the NFL standings, neither the Colts nor the Steelers are happy about where they currently sit. The Colts are 4-6 and sit in 2nd place in the AFC South with little to no chance of actually overtaking the Titans, who are three wins ahead of them. The Steelers are 3-7 and in last place in the AFC North.
Most Remarkable Player for this Matchup
Matt Ryan (QB)
Expect Ryan to have another good game with Saturday at the helm. He will keep the ball out of the opponent’s hands while having a 60%+ completion rating.
Kenny Pickett (QB)
Unlike the veteran Ryan, I expect Pickett to give the ball up at least once to the Colts’ defense. I also expect him not to get much done in the air.
Najee Harris (RB)
Though getting the 12th most touches in the league, he has the 22nd most yards. I don’t expect much from Harris in my Steelers vs Colts prediction.
